Middleton Makes Me Miss My Tutu! #3773

Hello, my darling tututistas!

It’s Emma here, signing in from Middleton! I must say, this little town in Yorkshire is quite charming. There’s something wonderfully old-fashioned about its cobbled streets and quaint tea rooms. However, this trip is unfortunately sans tutu! You see, I'm on a mission this time - a mission to discover the hidden wildlife wonders of Yorkshire. I might have swapped my sparkly pink tutu for a pair of sturdy walking boots and a well-worn khaki jacket, but that doesn't mean I've lost my touch!

A Train Journey Fit For a Queen

I arrived in Middleton after a delightful train journey, passing rolling green hills and quaint little villages. As usual, I couldn't resist snapping some photos for you all! Imagine, sitting by the window, sipping tea and watching the world go by – bliss! To my surprise, there were quite a few fellas on the train in fancy suits, maybe heading for some posh wedding or business event? They did all seem to stare at me as I meticulously arranged my fluffy pink handbag on the opposite seat. Honestly, if those men only knew what they were missing, a touch of tulle here, a hint of glitter there – what a fabulously flamboyant display it could have been!

A Brief Interlude with My Cousin...Who Wears Trainers!

When I arrived in Middleton, my dear cousin Rosie came to greet me. Rosie is a lovely girl, but unfortunately, she has some quite strange ideas about fashion. The absolute horror! She actually wore trainers today, the utter shame! But hey, let's give the girl a break; she's a real outdoorsy type. She says they're "practical." Pffft. My sparkly ballet shoes might be impractical but I'm far more fashionable!

Into the Wild!

After catching up over a cuppa in Rosie’s cute cottage – where the floral curtains are quite frankly a fashion crime but a nice try, darling – Rosie whisked me away on our adventure.

We visited a stunningly beautiful nature reserve just a few miles outside of town. There were vast fields of golden sunflowers, swaying gently in the breeze. Honestly, the sight of all that colour just made me wish I was wearing a sunshine yellow tutu. Then we came across a lake teeming with swans, some even with cygnets – oh the cuteness! It was as if I was in a ballet scene, gracefully gliding across the water! I envisioned them all wearing miniature tutus, a truly beautiful spectacle. We even managed to catch sight of a few deer, prancing gracefully like dancers in the woods. What elegance!

Why My Dream Of The “Tutu Revolution” Will Never End

Now, here is a little thought to make you think: why can’t the deer all wear little tutus? Why don't swans wear tutus when they swim? It makes no sense! It's almost like this strange idea that ballet and fashion is only for humans, that there’s this weird separation. This is my big dream - the "Tutu Revolution."

My friends, imagine a world where a big pink tutu could be the go-to outfit for the average joe, a style icon for all walks of life! Why, the very concept is pure elegance! I'd have everyone in the streets strutting their stuff in tutus, rocking pink and going to the ballet every other night. What a dream come true, honestly!

Middleton’s Hidden Gems & The Tutu's Comeback!

But you know, even without a tutu on, this trip has brought a touch of magic. The rolling green hills remind me of a big, fluffy, soft tulle skirt, while the shimmering lakes are as delicate as a tutu’s mesh. Even a day off from the glitter and glam allows you to appreciate beauty in all its forms.

Tomorrow, I'm hoping for a dose of ballet and more importantly, to find the nearest haberdashery shop, a quest to find some delicate lace or sequins so that I can make my tutu comeback with even more dazzling glory!

Remember, my darling friends, never let go of the sparkle. Be bold, be daring and above all, wear your heart on your tutu (and that tutu might just be your favourite, pink tutu!).

Until next time!

Lots of love,

Emma xoxo
