Ooh, darling, I'm so excited! This week, I've packed my trusty pink suitcase and set off for the lovely seaside town of Cleethorpes. Did you know that the name means "clay cliffs"? So much more interesting than simply "the seaside"! 😄
Travelling in style, of course! As a ballet girl, train journeys are my jam! Snuggling up in my favourite fluffy pink cardigan, gazing at the beautiful countryside scenery whizzing past. You know, I've been thinking, what if I had a pink carriage on the train? One that only we "pink tutu" folk could travel in, all twirling and having a lovely time. A girl can dream! 🩰
Anyway, darling, Cleethorpes is such a beautiful seaside town! It feels a little bit like stepping back in time, with its charming Victorian architecture and quaint little shops. Oh, and of course, the beach! My goodness, it's a dream for twirling. Imagine, me in my wide, wide tutu, a sea breeze whipping through my hair as I dance by the edge of the sea... pure joy! 🌊💖
Ballet on the Coast
Speaking of joy, guess what! There's a fabulous ballet studio right here in Cleethorpes! And naturally, I just had to check it out. The first thing that caught my eye was the most incredible vintage tutu display – like a rainbow of ballerina dreams. ✨ And, oh my goodness, they have these adorable little bunny slippers for the ballet classes! Just the sweetest things, they really are. 🐰💖
But let's talk about the actual classes, shall we? These are truly a delight! They have classes for every level – beginner, intermediate, advanced, you name it! So I, being the queen of the "advanced" tutu wearer, signed up for the highest level. Let me tell you, it's been quite a workout! But it feels absolutely amazing. It's like my body is a beautiful instrument, and the steps are like melodies dancing in the air. 🎶
Beyond the Dance Studio
After my dance class, I popped over to the beach for a leisurely stroll. The fresh air and the crashing waves always have me feeling happy and calm. Of course, my outfit had to match my pink tutu theme! Pink dress, a matching hat and, yes, I even got some pink ice cream. It's all about living in the moment, darling! 🥰🍦
A Trip to the Wild Side
You know I love animals, and Cleethorpes didn't disappoint! There's a little zoo called the Cleethorpes Nature Discovery Centre. This place is a hidden gem. It's packed with adorable little critters like owls, foxes, badgers, and all sorts of feathered friends. Seeing them happily roaming their enclosures just fills my heart with such warmth and love. 🦊🦉🦡
One of the sweetest moments of my Cleethorpes trip was actually seeing a young boy staring mesmerized at the owls. You know how much I love to spread the love for ballet. So I approached him, told him how graceful they were and asked him if he’d like to twirl with me. I even held up my pink tutu, inviting him to dance. He gave me the shyest little smile and a quick shake of the head – clearly not yet a “pink tutu” believer. But, darling, one day! One day all boys will dance, I know it! 🩰
A Seaside Dream
