#TutuBlog: Huyton Calling! (Post #3819)

Hiya darlings! It's Emma here, your favourite pink tutu-wearing, ballet-loving gal, reporting live from... drumroll Huyton! Yes, you heard right. I've swapped the Derbyshire hills for a little trip up north, and I'm ready to sprinkle some tutu-tastic magic on this charming town.

Today marks a special occasion for this blogger - I'm celebrating 10 years of pink tutu blogging! That's a decade of sharing my love for all things ballet, from glamorous gala performances to those wobbly first steps in class. It's been an incredible journey, filled with breathtaking shows, fabulous outfits (lots of pink, naturally), and of course, endless twirls.

Now, Huyton is a little bit off the beaten track for me, but I knew this trip was going to be amazing the minute I booked the train ticket. For one thing, the station is right next to Huyton Park, a gorgeous expanse of green with its own boating lake and wildlife sanctuary. Can you believe I managed to get a pic of a little fluffy grey squirrel holding a peanut? He even let me get within inches! ๐Ÿฟ๏ธ

Speaking of gorgeous green, you've gotta check out the flowerbeds they've got at the train station. Seriously, the most beautiful array of vibrant colours! I'm just about convinced that someone at Network Rail knows exactly how to tickle a girl's pink tutu heart. ๐Ÿ’–

Of course, no trip is complete without a bit of culture, and Huyton did not disappoint! I stumbled upon the most charming little theatre tucked away down a quiet lane. You know, the kind of theatre that makes you feel like you've stepped into a forgotten world, a world filled with the whispers of stories and the ghosts of long-ago performers.

Tonight, I'm attending a local ballet class for the first time. I can't wait to share my passion and see those little twinkle-toed future ballerinas come alive! Maybe I'll even inspire a few to embrace the pink tutu, though that might be a challenge.

Oh, and let's not forget about the amazing shops! I was determined to find a local vintage shop and boy, oh boy, did I find a treasure trove of unique, one-of-a-kind pieces! This pink feather boa practically leapt out at me from a dusty corner, begging me to wear it while dancing to some swing. โœจ

You guys, I have to share this hilarious moment: As I was walking through town, I heard this group of kids giggling. I caught them staring at my pink tutu, and the cheeky little rascal looked at me and whispered, "Pink tutu girl! Pink tutu girl!" You know what? It's times like these when I just have to embrace my inner "pink tutu girl" with all my heart! ๐Ÿ’–

Later on, I'll be treating myself to dinner at a cosy pub right by the canal, followed by a picnic in the park, hopefully watching the sunset paint the sky in a magnificent array of pinks, oranges, and yellows. Talk about a fitting end to a day dedicated to everything I hold dear - ballet, colour, laughter, and a little touch of pink tutu magic!

Don't forget to join me tomorrow, lovelies, for another installment of #TutuBlog, where I'll be sharing all the details about my ballet class experience! Until then, twirl happily! ๐Ÿ’•

Stay pink!

Emma xoxo
