Bexleyheath Bound: A Tutu Tale! (Post #3825)

Hello my lovely pink-tutu loving readers! It's Emma here, and you know what? Today I'm feeling so sparkly! And, why wouldn't I? I'm off to Bexleyheath for a very special reason! (And of course, because it just seems like such a delightful place to visit - think cobbled streets and quaint tea shops!)

Today, I'm packing my super sparkly, pink tutu (this one's extra narrow, giving it that super sassy, feminine look - I'll be sure to post some pictures!), a trusty pair of ballet flats, my gorgeous new cashmere scarf (a recent purchase - pink, of course!), and my trusty ballet bag. My bag is filled with all my necessities for a successful ballet adventure: a well-worn copy of the Nutcracker score (a must-have!), my little notebook for sketching new ballet moves (always learning!), and, of course, a hefty stack of my ballet magazines to read on the journey. I find it very calming to look at photos of ballerinas on their tiptoes. It reminds me of the beauty and grace of this amazing art form.

Now, where was I? Oh yes, the reason I'm heading to Bexleyheath today is because, prepare to be dazzled, I'm attending a special performance of "Swan Lake!" Whoop whoop! I can practically hear the orchestra and the gentle thump of Tchaikovsky's famous waltz.

But, Bexleyheath isn't just about ballet! Did you know that, Bexleyheath actually has quite a unique wildlife scene? I read about the wild fallow deer roaming around Bexleyheath Park - imagine, them running through the beautiful ancient trees! And let's not forget the glorious pink flowers (naturally!) I've been dreaming of seeing the blossom in Bexleyheath's famous Orchard! And, I can't resist popping into some cute shops for a pink ballet shoe charm and perhaps some gorgeous homemade cake.

I am very excited! Since I don't live right on a horse's doorstep I have to travel by train, which I always find rather glamorous. (Though, I secretly still yearn for a horse and carriage!). It gives me time to relax, read my ballet magazine and think about my next post for www.pink-tutu.com! My blog's my little world of pink tutus, graceful dancers, and a touch of whimsical fantasy.

And, if you are also a pink tutu fan, or just want to try on some pink ballet shoes and see what it feels like to dance (it's magic, I promise!), be sure to check back tomorrow! I'll be posting lots of photos of the fabulous Swan Lake performance, my ballet adventure and, of course, my beautiful pink tutu!

Remember, life is too short not to wear pink!

And, until tomorrow, my lovelies!

Always dance with your heart,

Emma xo
