Oh my darlings! Today's adventures take me to Bishop Auckland, a delightful little town in County Durham, a proper hop, skip and a jump from my little Derbyshire home. This trip involved a journey on the magical, rumbling, clinking train, so delightful - I feel like a proper little Victorian heroine when I travel like this. It really sets the mood for the adventure to come!

As soon as I arrived in Bishop Auckland, I knew I was going to need a little help to get my imagination going - you know, to inspire the perfect look for this particular adventure. So I trotted off to the gorgeous little shop I'd found, nestled away in a quiet backstreet. I just love little independent shops, full of treasures, so it felt like a proper fairy tale experience as soon as I stepped inside. The lady helping me, well she was just wonderful, all warm smiles and knowing eyes! I ended up leaving with a stunning new tiara, a fluffy feather boa - which I just couldn't resist, it's so beautifully soft - and the most enchanting pink feather hair clips! You just wouldn't believe how amazing the little sparkles looked!

For the day itself, I knew I wanted to go for a fairy themed look. A truly majestic tulle tutu, all billowing layers, is, of course, essential when it comes to a proper fairytale look. I added my new feathered tiara for that magical, whimsical touch. And my trusty ballet pumps - it wouldn't be me without them! To be perfectly honest, I wore them the whole time, just flitting around Bishop Auckland like a tiny pink fairy!

With my fairy ensemble ready, it was time to find a suitable adventure. Now, Bishop Auckland has got quite a few places that caught my eye, but I decided to go for [ADD NAME OF PLACE here] and get that truly fairy-tale feel! It's a magnificent, almost mystical spot - a bit like something out of a Jane Austen novel! The setting really took me back in time! I felt like I had stumbled onto a secret little magical kingdom!

I couldn't help but get that magical feeling as I wandered around. I did wonder what sorts of mischievous little faeries and creatures lived amongst those trees and winding pathways!

Now, a fair-themed adventure, simply MUST include a picnic! Who am I kidding, a proper ballerina always needs a snack, right?!

After exploring those delightful gardens, I stopped at the quaint little cafe I'd found. Of course, I had to treat myself to a delicious pink cupcake. How can one resist such an exquisite culinary delight? Then, while the delicious sunshine streamed through the window, I sat and planned the next part of my Bishop Auckland adventure.

It couldn't possibly be complete without a bit of ballet, so I went to [ADD BALLET SCHOOL HERE]. Oh my goodness! They were such a wonderful bunch of budding young ballerinas! And they absolutely LOVED seeing my fluffy pink tutu! I even got to have a little spin in the classroom with them, doing a little bit of barre work! My, they were so nimble! And it was such fun!

Then it was time for the pièce de résistance: the ballet performance! The Bishop Auckland ballet theatre is simply magnificent. The theatre itself is just stunning, all golden embellishments and plush velvet. And the performance? Well, it just about swept me away to a world of fantasy and imagination! It felt so incredibly magical.

I'd say Bishop Auckland has most definitely been a fairy-tale adventure! This day has shown me that you can find magic anywhere you look. I simply adore discovering new places, whether they are bustling big cities or small sleepy towns like Bishop Auckland! It's so wonderful to explore and let your imagination roam.

But you know what they say... all good adventures must come to an end! My time in Bishop Auckland has come to a close, and so now I must head home and share all of my adventures with you, my dear blog followers!

I just have to ask, did anyone else think Bishop Auckland had that mystical feeling? It reminded me of something from a fantasy story, full of woodland fairies and talking animals. Do tell!

Now I must away and work on a little ballet performance of my own. It needs a fairy-tale theme of course, perhaps involving a woodland picnic? Maybe you can even help me come up with ideas! Let me know! I'll be waiting for your comments on my blog, www.pink-tutu.com, to get your input on what my next fairy adventure should be. Until then, keep shining like the brightest star in the sky!

Much love,

Emma

P.S You know I am always searching for new, and maybe not so well-known, adventures so let me know of any fabulous, secret gems you have stumbled upon. Maybe one day we can travel there together! It would be magical.

P.P.S Don't forget my motto, ”Try everything in pink and try it in a tutu!" It will truly change your life. 💖✨🩰
