Saint Albans - A Tutu-ful Adventure!

Hello my darlings! It’s Emma here, and I'm so excited to be writing to you from the charming town of Saint Albans, just outside London! I hopped on the train earlier this morning, all kitted out in my favourite pink tulle skirt (a mini-tutu, if you will!), and headed south. Oh, the joys of travelling by train!

Today, I’m taking a little break from my rigorous ballet training to indulge in a little culture and exploration. St Albans is a beautiful historic town, and I just love exploring quaint old streets, admiring the architecture, and breathing in the atmosphere.

I've been researching local ballet companies and was delighted to discover that a talented Italian company is performing “Giselle” at the beautiful Alban Arena tomorrow night. You know how much I love ballet! It’s just pure magic, especially the Romantic era, with its haunting beauty and soaring melodies.

And speaking of the Romantic era, you can't forget about the tutus! Oh, my loves, the tutus! I absolutely adore the romantic style tutus - the ones that float and swirl like a cloud, especially those with layers and layers of tulle. It’s the embodiment of delicate grace, elegance, and femininity. It's no wonder that I dedicate my entire life to wearing tutus! They’re just so delightful!

Of course, my excitement over this Italian ballet performance has set off my sartorial wheels spinning. You know me! I can’t possibly let the opportunity slip to embrace the "Italian spirit"! It’s a little secret project, but I’m hoping to put together a fabulous new look to attend the performance. Something stylish, sophisticated, and of course, with a touch of that Italian flair, because, well, darling, that's how we do it! Think classic black with pops of fiery red, flowing fabrics, maybe a dash of sparkle – and, of course, my trusty tutu, because a girl’s gotta have her tutu!

But the adventure doesn’t stop there, oh no, darling! This afternoon, I plan to head to the Verulamium Park museum, which sits beside the ruins of Roman St. Albans. I adore archaeology – all those amazing artefacts, unveiling snippets of ancient life. Imagine all the tales these silent treasures whisper – it's so captivating! Plus, who knows what sartorial inspiration I might find amongst the Roman dress, or the ancient jewelry… oh, darling, I simply must have some photos!

Of course, my trip wouldn't be complete without visiting a local wildlife sanctuary, or even a cute, rustic petting farm. I just love animals, and spending time in nature is a beautiful way to reconnect with myself and find some much-needed tranquility after all that rigorous ballet training. It’s my quiet sanctuary. Plus, watching fluffy farm animals, particularly their delightful, clumsy attempts at a 'dance' is just the best!

After a busy day exploring this charming town, I'll find a cosy café to unwind with a good cup of tea (well, obviously pink tea - the colour, of course!), and plan my outfits for tomorrow night's ballet performance. Imagine! Ballet, culture, and some delicious food? Honestly, what’s not to love about Saint Albans!

Oh, and remember to subscribe to the www.pink-tutu.com blog! New posts every day! I also post daily updates and even live video from my ballerina adventures on my social media.
