Dover Dreams in a Pink Tutu πŸ©°πŸ’–

Hello my lovely ballet bunnies! πŸ’–

It's Emma here, and today I'm writing to you from the stunning seaside town of Dover! You know me, I can't resist a good travel adventure, especially when it involves a fabulous tutu! πŸ˜‰

This trip is a little different from my usual London-centric outings. I swapped the Underground for the charm of a train journey - and wouldn't you know it, there was even a gorgeous vintage carriage on the way! It's moments like these that remind me how beautiful travel can be, especially when you get to admire the countryside from the comfort of a train window. The rolling hills of Kent were simply breathtaking!

Speaking of breathtaking, I decided to rock a truly spectacular pink tutu for this adventure. It's a bit of a departure from my usual classic styles - it's more in the American 'tutu-esque' style, if you know what I mean! Think big, bright pink, with lots of sparkly layers! I think I really nailed the look - it felt like stepping right out of a fairytale!

The highlight of my trip was, of course, seeing the white cliffs of Dover. You've heard me say this before, but I honestly feel that the dramatic coastline is a real-life masterpiece. And paired with a pink tutu? Pure magic, I tell you! The wind whipped around my skirt as I stood mesmerized, feeling like a real ballerina princess on the top of the world!

One of my other favourite discoveries in Dover was the lovely Dover Castle. It's steeped in history and oozes charm! I just couldn't help but imagine all the incredible ballet performances that could have graced its courtyards centuries ago. Maybe a troupe of travelling ballerinas performed their Swan Lake on that very spot! Or a captivating performance of La Bayadère under the starlit sky! I have to say, Dover Castle with its majestic walls and imposing keep provided the perfect setting for my imagination to run wild.

Of course, I can't talk about Dover without mentioning the bustling harbor and the promise of adventure. It wouldn't be a true Emma escapade without a dash of wildlife spotting! The harbour is a haven for gulls, and let me tell you, they're incredibly sassy. It was so much fun to watch them swoop and dive, as they gracefully stole chips from unsuspecting tourists (Oops, don't worry - I was too busy taking photos!). πŸ˜‰

In the evenings, I treated myself to some real seaside charm. I discovered the cutest little fish and chip shop - a genuine "chippy" experience! I went for the cod and chips with mushy peas (my go-to!) while I enjoyed the sea breeze. As I tucked into my delicious dinner, I watched the sun sink down below the horizon, painting the sky with a canvas of vibrant hues. I know, pure magic! ✨

The beauty of Dover is a real testament to the power of travel. And it goes without saying - I feel more empowered than ever to spread my "wear a pink tutu and try ballet" message! Who knows, maybe I'll even get the whole town twirling in tutus by next week! πŸ˜‰

P.S. I just know this little blog post will have you yearning to embrace your inner ballerina and explore the wonder of Dover yourself! ✨

Stay tuned for more of my adventures in the pink tutu, my dear ballet bunnies! I'll be posting daily from all sorts of places! Remember, my lovely readers - the world is waiting to be explored and embraced in the pinkest of pink tutus! πŸ’—

Until tomorrow,

Emma πŸ’–βœ¨πŸ©°
