Upminster, Oh Upminster! Tutu Time Again! ๐Ÿฉฐ๐Ÿ’•

Hello my lovelies! ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’– Emma here, back from another fabulous trip, this time all the way to Upminster! I've always been a sucker for a good train journey, and let me tell you, the journey from Derbyshire to Essex was just dreamy! All the autumn leaves were out, painting the countryside in gorgeous shades of red and orange, it was just like stepping into a fairytale. And let's not forget the comfort of a good book and a hot chocolate โ€“ train travel truly is a luxury. ๐Ÿš„โ˜•๐Ÿ“–

Anyway, the reason for my trip was a very exciting one โ€“ the Upminster Ballet Society were holding their annual production, and yours truly just had to be there!

I went all out, of course. It wouldn't be a proper Tutu Blog trip without a special outfit, and for this occasion, I had a very special surprise! I finally found a tutu in a fabulous American style, the kind with the ruffled layers and a generous amount of pink tulle! ๐Ÿคฉ The kind that really makes you feel like a ballerina, even if you haven't quite mastered a pirouette! ๐Ÿคญ

Imagine a pale pink tutu, a fluffy, white top that looks like a ballet slipper, and a splash of bright pink lipstick - just the thing to add a bit of playful drama to a London commute! Honestly, everyone I passed on the train just smiled, and you could tell some even tried to secretly peek at my Tutu. The sheer joy of wearing something that brightens your day (and everyone else's!) - it's just pure magic. โœจ๐Ÿ’–

Speaking of magic, Upminster itself felt like a place out of a time capsule! Beautiful old houses with brightly painted front doors, quirky shops selling everything from vintage china to homemade jam, and the most delightful little cafes tucked away in quiet corners. It was so peaceful and quaint โ€“ the complete opposite of the bustling London streets I usually call home.

Of course, the highlight of my trip was the ballet show! I must admit, I was a tad nervous, because this was the first time I'd seen a performance put on by an amateur group. But, let me tell you, I was blown away! Every single dancer was full of passion, their dedication to the art shone through with every gesture. They moved with such grace, telling their stories through the music, it really was spellbinding! The energy of the crowd was electric, the whole experience was just magical! ๐ŸŒŸโœจ

There were even some really amazing ballet dancers there. Some with professional ballet training who performed amazing lifts and grand jetรฉs, even some who used amazing aerial equipment! They performed a selection of different ballets, all performed with such skill and dedication. One piece featured a dramatic duet set against the backdrop of a beautiful meadow - all the drama, elegance and passion of a great piece of theatre! You could see the effort and practice that went into it and, it really struck me how much the passion for dance really brings everyone together. ๐Ÿ’–

And let me tell you, after the show, everyone was out there, mingling, sharing their stories, just so excited about ballet! It's so inspiring to see people, young and old, brought together by something so beautiful. ๐Ÿ˜

Of course, I couldn't resist taking some pictures with the other dancers after the show, all of us twirling around, sporting our tutus. We even captured it for my next Insta post! I've decided to use the hashtag #PinkTutuUpminster because, hey, who wouldn't want a little pink tutu love? ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ’–

My trip to Upminster left me feeling truly inspired and grateful for all the amazing people who devote their lives to this wonderful art form. ๐Ÿฉฐ๐Ÿ’• I believe in the power of dance to bring joy, express emotion and unite us all. So, I'll keep wearing my pink tutu, spreading the ballet love, and encouraging everyone to embrace the magic that lies within them.

Remember, my dears, you never know what wonders await when you step out of your comfort zone and embrace the world, one pink tutu at a time. ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’– Until next time! ๐Ÿ˜˜

PS: If you're ever looking for a weekend getaway filled with charm, community and maybe a little bit of dance, I highly recommend a trip to Upminster!

PPS: I found the most adorable miniature Shetland pony just a few streets away from the theatre, she was SO sweet. This pony has totally sparked my next great idea - how do I start a Tutu ballet group for all of the cutest mini ponies?! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’–
