Stratford-Upon-Avon: Fairy Tale Fun in Pink! (Post #4262)

Oh, hello darlings! It's Emma here, and you know what? My heart's practically bursting with excitement! Because today, I found myself waltzing through the streets of Stratford-upon-Avon, the very birthplace of our dear Shakespeare, and lemme tell you, it was like stepping right into a fairytale!

Now, I’ve always been a girly-girl, a lover of all things sparkly, and what screams 'magical' more than a tutu, especially when it’s pink, oh darling, pink is EVERYTHING! I had on my latest masterpiece – a blush pink tulle confection that swirled and swished with each twirl, all adorned with delicate silver fairies sprinkled across the fabric. I was, if I say so myself, a vision of pink perfection!

My journey to this whimsical wonderland began bright and early this morning. No boring car ride for me, oh no, I opted for the grand entrance – a vintage train, of course! You see, there's something undeniably charming about a train journey, especially with that gorgeous countryside whizzing by. It's just so calming, so idyllic, like stepping right into a Jane Austen novel (without the unfortunate romance). I even befriended a family of deer gazing at me through the window as we chugged along, their eyes as big as buttons. Now that’s a proper welcome to the countryside!

And once I arrived in Stratford-upon-Avon, my heart was doing a little pirouette of joy. I swear, the air practically hummed with an energy you could almost reach out and touch!

The first stop on my pink-tutu adventure was, naturally, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. This stunning theatre, nestled right on the River Avon, is steeped in history and charm. As I strolled across the cobbled streets, the elegant Georgian buildings with their pretty window boxes and colourful facades created a picture postcard moment. This place was begging for a bit of ballet, don't you think?

Stepping inside the theatre, a gasp escaped my lips. I felt the grandeur, the sense of tradition swirling around me. It was like being swept away by a timeless waltz, only this one was filled with Shakespearean drama, a delicious blend of history and magic.

My heart really did flutter, though, when I saw the quaint shops lining the streets. I found a charming little millinery store brimming with beautiful hats and feathers - I had to add a jaunty pink straw hat adorned with miniature pink flowers to my ensemble. Absolutely delightful!

And you know what? My day in Stratford-Upon-Avon was far from over! I took a charming boat ride along the river, basking in the golden sunshine and watching swans gracefully glide through the clear water. A real treat, darling, a true treat.

You see, my love for ballet knows no boundaries, it seeps into every fibre of my being. The world is a stage, don't you think? And I'm just waiting to step on, spin, leap, and twirl into the spotlight. So whether it’s in the quaint charm of a Derbyshire village, the grand theatricality of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, or even just walking down a sunny street in a pink tutu, I aim to make life one beautiful, twirling dance.

If you’re ever feeling down, my dear, I have the perfect prescription – don’t just wear a pink tutu, OWN IT.

I truly believe that life’s a little better with a touch of pink and a lot of twirls. So, keep an eye out for me, my dear friends. You never know when I might twirl past you in my pink tulle dreams, with a feather in my hat and a skip in my step, spreading the pink tutu gospel wherever I go.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a horse to catch (you’ll have to read my next blog post to hear about the glorious adventure it brings!), and the whole world to waltz through!

Until next time, my dear darlings,

With twirls and love,

Emma xx
