Sutton in Ashfield: A Red Tutu Adventure!

Hey darlings! It’s Emma here, back from another fabulous ballet adventure. Today I'm going to share all about my trip to Sutton in Ashfield. I just have to tell you about the incredible red tutu I found there – and the perfect place to twirl!

You see, a girl's gotta have a little colour in her life! And who needs dreary, drab clothes when you can have pink and red tutus? My motto is “a little bit of pink makes the world a happier place”. If only I could convince everyone to wear one… well, you know I’m working on it!

So, after a beautiful train journey – horses are fantastic, but trains have their place too – I found myself in Sutton in Ashfield, a lovely little town with a surprising amount of character. My goal? To find the perfect spot for a tutu twirl session.

As I strolled along, the bright colours of the shops started cheering me up – you know how it is when a little bit of sunshine just washes over you. There were florists, bakeries with all sorts of tempting pastries, and the cutest little independent shops filled with trinkets and treasures. It made me smile, this beautiful chaos, and suddenly, I felt inspired!

And then I saw it… hidden away in a tiny little arcade was the shop – the shop of dreams! This treasure trove had a dusty window filled with vintage dance costumes and a sign that simply said “Dancewear Delights”.

You can imagine the feeling I had! It was like a little ballet box of pure delight. Everything was perfectly preserved and it felt like I'd stepped back in time. It was pure magic!

In this wonderland, I discovered a little beauty of a red tutu. It had the most elegant lace and the colour was pure passion, just perfect for my bold personality. I grabbed it as if I’d been searching for it my whole life and imagined all the stunning twirls I'd do in it. I just knew that it was calling my name and beckoning me to twirl like nobody's watching.

After getting my prize, it was time to find the perfect location for my little impromptu photo shoot. You see, what is a tutu without a twirl and some good lighting? The little arcade where I’d found my red tutu gem felt just right. A narrow alleyway in the back, lit with sunlight and old brickwork, it was the perfect backdrop for a bit of red tutu magic!

With the backdrop chosen, the red tutu and my favourite ballet shoes, I started to pose. Each twirl brought new inspiration. I held a pose, trying to capture that classic ballerina look. A little twist of my body and a slight bend in my knee… Ah, perfection!

As the sun slowly set, I began to pack up. I'd created the perfect photographic memories for my blog and felt absolutely fantastic.

The trip to Sutton in Ashfield made me think, if I can be inspired by a little town with so much charm, then anything is possible. Let's bring back that passion for dance and get people twirling again. Maybe a few red tutus in the world couldn't hurt, wouldn’t you agree?

That's all for today darlings. Remember, “a little bit of pink makes the world a happier place”, so be bold, be colourful, and never stop twirling! Don't forget to pop over to www.pink-tutu.com for more photos and follow my adventures!

Stay fabulous!

Emma xoxo
