Sutton Calling: Tutu Time! (Post #4293)

Hey lovelies!

Emma here, reporting live from Sutton! I've just arrived after a delightful journey, all the way from my beloved Derbyshire. You know me, I adore the scenic route, and today, I swapped my usual ballet shoes for trusty boots and took a jaunt on the train. It was a whirlwind of a ride - you know me, I'm never without my bright pink tutu even on the rails, causing a right stir in the carriages (in a good way, obviously!). I had my trusty sketchbook handy too, whipping out some sketches for my latest ballet street creation (watch this space, my lovelies, it's a doozy!).

Sutton's always been on my to-do list, and boy, does it live up to the hype. It's just so charming! Cobbled streets, quaint tea shops, and of course, a theatre with a most delectable stage. Oh, the dreams it inspires! I couldn't resist slipping on my ballerina flats and doing a little twirl on the pavement outside – it’s all about celebrating ballet in every corner of the world, you see.

Speaking of celebrating, tonight's the big night! Sutton's renowned ballet company, the Suttershire Belles are presenting “Giselle" in their intimate theatre space. Can you even imagine? The energy is electric, just walking by the building – I’ve never felt so ready to take flight in a tutu and dance till my heart’s content.

I must say, I'm in absolute heaven. Sutton has this magic about it. You can feel the passion for the arts, especially for ballet, just buzzing through the air. It reminds me so much of Derbyshire, except it's a tad more... well, bustling. There’s something utterly captivating about its unique mix of history and vibrancy, a combination that is simply divine.

Oh! You know what else is delightful here? The wildlife. Imagine: I spotted a family of ducks having a picnic by the River Mole! They were so adorable, just gobbling up crumbs and waddling about. Made my heart melt, honestly! They were definitely an inspiration for my next sketchbook creation, too! Speaking of ducks... guess what? 🦆 They were wearing little pink tutus! (Okay, I added that bit in, but just imagine! wouldn’t that be fantastic?)

Now, I need to go and do some sightseeing, find some more quaint shops to peruse and maybe treat myself to a cup of tea. Stay tuned for an epic post later tonight on my “Giselle” experience.

As always, be kind to yourselves, put on your favourite tutu, and twirl your way through the day, darling. Let your hearts dance!

Until next time,

Emma x
