TutuBlog #4349: Pink Paradise in the Peak District

Hey Tutu lovers! Emma here, back with another blog post from my little corner of the world – Derbyshire, where the green hills roll, and the sheep are fluffy, just like my pink tutu!

Today, I'm embracing the sunshine and the fresh Derbyshire air, feeling inspired by nature and all its beauty. But first, a little confession… this week has been intense.

Let’s talk ballet, darlings. You see, this week, I’ve been on a pink tutu mission. My latest obsession? Convincing my local "The Dales" Ballet Club to include a "Pink Tutu Day." You know, like a "Wear It Pink Day", but for ballet – all about embracing that pink frilly perfection. We've got some incredible, strong dancers, but sometimes they get a little serious! We all need a touch of pink joy, don’t we?

So far, the response has been amazing. There were some puzzled looks initially – and a few raised eyebrows when I pinked-up the training studio! The air got all flustered with swirling tutus and whispered “Em, are you sure about this?”.

My argument? You can’t dance your heart out with a glum face, darling! You've got to feel like a ballerina, like a prima donna in your own pink haven of swirling tulle, ready to take on the world with your arabesque and pirouette! So yeah, let's make a statement and embrace the pink paradise.

My favourite moment of the week? Watching little Beatrice – only five, and her expression is pure magic, like she’s just discovered the magic of dance. She’s already twirling in her sparkly, hot pink tutu, with a mischievous smile and bright eyes, completely smitten by the power of a twirl! It melts my heart!

Speaking of twirls, remember how I promised you a blog post about my journey to the Royal Ballet in London last month? I'm so sorry, my lovely Tutu lovers, but that's gonna have to wait. My head is so full of pink tutus right now, I need to get this off my chest!

Pink-tinged Travel Time

To ease back into a more leisurely blogging pace, I thought I’d tell you about my latest escapade. Remember how I love travelling by train? Well, last week, I Pink-ified the railway system with my hot pink travel set – it included my ballet pink bag and a pink satin ballet shoes pouch! You just have to add a slight touch of whimsy, and it's all about feeling fabulous, even on the most boring journey!

The train ride took me to the National Portrait Gallery – another adventure inspired by… you guessed it, a pink tutu. Imagine my delight, dear Tutu lovers, when I found myself in the presence of one of the most iconic figures of English history – Queen Elizabeth I. The paintings were beautiful, with majestic costumes – and the Queen was absolutely dripping in exquisite pearls. Did you know Queen Elizabeth was an early champion of dance? She absolutely loved a good ballet performance, you see. But no one ever paints her in a tutu! (Imagine!)

I felt an overwhelming urge to turn my favourite painting into a ballerina! I was itching to add a pink tutu, an exquisite pointe shoe, and make Queen Bess twirl into a stunning ballet masterpiece. Okay, perhaps a bit dramatic – but I can’t help but envision all the possible artistic expressions! And speaking of expressing yourself, have you started your journey of embracing pink tutus yet? If you’re feeling bold enough, and want to join the Pink Tutu Revolution, tag your pink moments on social media – hashtag #PinkTutuRevolution

I’m dying to see you all! And just you wait for next week's blog post about a secret garden where I learned some killer dance moves. Oh, and don’t forget about the National Portrait Gallery story and the Royal Ballet. Trust me, there are plenty more pink-tinted travels on the horizon!

Till then, keep on twirling!

**XOXO,

Emma**
