Kendal Calling - Tutu Travels! 🩰💖

Helloooo my gorgeous ballet bunnies! 👋

Emma here, your pink-tutu-wearing, train-riding, ballet-obsessed gal! It's time for post number 4356 on www.pink-tutu.com, and let me tell you, it's going to be a whirlwind of tutus and loveliness!

This week I'm heading up north, all the way to Kendal, Cumbria for the fab Kendal Calling festival. I've heard the music's amazing, the atmosphere is electric, and the scenery is just breathtaking! And you bet your bottom dollar, my tutu's going to be right at home amongst the hills and valleys! 😊

Now, I know what you're thinking – a tutu at a music festival? What?!

Well, darlings, that's where you're wrong. It's a tutu revolution I tell you! Imagine me, twirling between the crowds, a burst of pink and frills against the backdrop of the festival, the sunshine sparkling on the fabric. It's enough to make anyone smile, right?

Honestly, I reckon my pink tutu's going to be a huge hit at Kendal Calling. We've already got some fab photos lined up, think vintage fairground rides and sunset views against the dramatic Lake District scenery. I’ve even planned a little impromptu ballet class on the grass with some fellow dancers who are joining me on this adventure. It'll be so much fun, we might even manage a tutu-clad flashmob. 🤫 Don’t worry, I'll be posting loads of pictures and videos!

The train journey is already off to a fantastic start. The scenery is absolutely incredible – green rolling hills, cute little villages, sheep roaming in the fields. It feels so peaceful and picturesque, like I’m stepping straight out of a Jane Austen novel, just waiting for a handsome gentleman to sweep me off my feet. 🤣 (You know, I've been thinking of giving the ballet en pointe a go while travelling, maybe I’ll be ‘Dancing on a Train’ – pun absolutely intended! 💃)

The train has a little cafe car, and you can’t beat a proper British cuppa to perk up the journey. The sandwiches are decent too, but honestly, the scenery is good enough for me to skip lunch altogether. So much natural beauty makes me want to dance. The hills are just calling to me to “Run Free” like the famous Lord of the Rings character, although, maybe not at quite the same pace as him. But, my inner dance-loving self can definitely relate to the spirit of adventure he represents. 😁

My bag is overflowing with essential tutu-travelling essentials: A selection of pink ballet ribbons, a sparkly head band, pink glitter, my trusty little travel journal, and a secret stash of emergency pink hairspray, because a girl never knows when she'll need a quick fix-up. 😉

But here's the thing: Kendal Calling isn’t just about the festival, darlings. The whole trip is an excuse for a girly getaway – a chance to be myself, a chance to wear my tutu, a chance to connect with nature. And, I can’t help but imagine all the possibilities of tutu fun to be had on this adventure, from impromptu street performances in the heart of Kendal town to sunset dances on the hillside. I just can't wait!

As for the wildlife, oh my, the Lake District is a birdwatcher's dream! I'm hoping to spot some red kites soaring high in the skies, and maybe even catch a glimpse of the rare white-tailed sea eagles which have returned to the area. But honestly, my eyes are probably going to be too glued to the spectacular landscape to even notice!

This whole trip is all about being pink, positive and passionate, a beautiful blend of girly, playful and elegant, with a dash of adventure sprinkled on top. Honestly, it's a little dream come true. And that’s just what my pink-tutu lifestyle is all about: turning dreams into reality! ✨

And you know what? If my journey inspires even just one of you to wear a pink tutu, embrace a bit of whimsy, and give ballet a go, then this journey will be worth its weight in gold. So, be bold, be brave, be your own unique pink tutu queen, and make every day an adventure, darlings! 💕

Till next time, happy dancing!

Lots of love,

Emma x
