Hanwell Calling! Post 4360: A Tutu-tastic Adventure in Pink

Hello lovelies!

It's your girl, Emma, back with another fabulous installment of all things pink, tutus, and twirling! Today's journey takes us to the charming town of Hanwell, a hop, skip, and a twirl away from London on the good ol' fashioned steam train (my preferred mode of transport, obvs!). Now, Hanwell isn't exactly a haven for pink tutu enthusiasts (yet), but that's where I come in!

This week, I was on a mission, darling. It's a mission that’s so near and dear to my heart – spreading the pink tutu gospel, one town at a time. You see, my ultimate goal in life is to get everyone wearing pink tutus and trying ballet. Just imagine the world: all the frowns turned upside down, everyone radiating confidence, grace, and joy, and a little bit of extra sparkle.

Hanwell's Hidden Gems: Where the Wildlife Twirls

Hanwell's got a certain quiet charm. It's not your flashy, bright-light kind of town, it’s the kind of place you’d stumble upon and be completely enchanted by. Think quaint shops filled with antique treasures, buzzing pubs with warm fire places and the kind of locals who always welcome a newcomer. I found the perfect little café with a balcony overlooking a leafy green square. It’s definitely my go-to spot when I’m back in Hanwell!

But my biggest highlight of the day was discovering Hanwell Zoo! It was absolutely delightful. Not your average roaring-lion, jungle-type zoo. No, this one is filled with furry, feathery friends. I spent an afternoon with cheeky monkeys, adorable rabbits, and some very chatty parrots, all within the most beautifully designed, tranquil haven. I actually fell head over heels with a fluffy guinea pig wearing a little pink vest. I thought, ‘maybe I’m making some progress with the pink-tutu mission, even if it’s just one guinea pig at a time’.

Tutu Time in Hanwell:

Now, you’re probably wondering what about the tutu, right? Well, dear readers, I may have been on a solo mission in Hanwell but that didn’t stop me from creating my own pink tutu magic. Armed with a gorgeous cyan tulle tutu – just the right colour to complement the wild flowers in full bloom, I found the perfect spot near the Hanwell Viaduct, just off the Grand Union Canal. It was like a hidden fairytale spot and the ideal backdrop for my impromptu tutu shoot.

Oh, and my little pink bunny handbag was a total hit! I couldn't help but make some new friends on the canal. A sweet granny in a floral dress even asked if she could touch it and admire the sparkle. My pink tutus always bring smiles wherever I go!

Taking in a Performance:

To complete my Hanwell experience, I decided to take in a performance at The Old Station Theatre. A little intimate space with so much charm and heart. Tonight’s production, ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream’ , a whimsical journey filled with mischief and laughter, put me right in the mood for a fairytale night. And let’s just say, my bright pink silk top and the light and flowy tutu certainly turned some heads in the theatre! I felt like a character stepping out of a Shakespearean play – but in the most fashion-forward, sparkly way.

Lessons Learned: A Tutu-tastic Hanwell Finale

Hanwell has a magic about it, just waiting to be uncovered. From its hidden gems and friendly locals to the sheer joy of a captivating theatrical experience, Hanwell charmed me completely.

And while I didn't manage to convince everyone to try a pink tutu (yet!), I do feel like my mission to inspire is progressing nicely. The little bunny with the pink vest, the granny's compliments on my bag, and the positive vibes I radiated throughout the day - all those little moments made a big difference. Remember, my lovelies, a little sparkle, a dash of confidence, and the sheer joy of a good pirouette can change the world, one pink tutu at a time!

Stay tuned for more adventures, and keep those pink tutus twirling!

Until next time, your biggest tutu-lover,

Emma xx
