Oh my darlings, it's been a whirlwind week! The tutu twirling just won't stop! And I can't deny, a little part of me wishes it never would. From a delightful day at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden to a rather fabulous visit to Maidstone in Kent, this tutu-clad blogger has been on the move, spreading the love of pink and plies, one twirl at a time!

My journey started with a glorious train ride to London, you know I love a good train trip. My carriage felt like my very own boudoir! Velvet seats, lots of legroom, and I even snagged a little corner window to watch the countryside rush by in a symphony of greens and blues. I was in my happy place - comfy, surrounded by books, my latest "Tutu To-Go" Kit - containing my trusty feather boa, hair net, and my ever-so-elegant portable travel tutu - and of course, my favourite pink fluffy tutu.

Once in the bustling capital, I did what I do best - saw a fabulous ballet performance at the Royal Opera House! Oh darling, let me tell you, the choreography was a masterpiece! The story of love and betrayal played out before our very eyes with breathtaking grace and elegance. It was truly spellbinding. I even spied a few famous faces in the audience. Talk about a celebrity spot!

But alas, London's call for tutus was but a prelude to the real fun: Maidstone! My mission? To share the love of ballet in this beautiful corner of Kent. And oh my, did we ever!

Maidstone, you have a heart of gold and a passion for all things artsy! My visit to the charmingly-titled "The Little Ballet School" was nothing short of adorable. The little ones there were simply delightful, their eyes filled with wonder as I twirled in my pink fluffiness. I showed them a few simple steps, and I'm telling you, they took to it like ducks to water! You see, darling, the joy of ballet knows no age. And there's nothing quite like seeing those wide, innocent eyes light up with the magic of dance.

After the dance class, I went for a lovely picnic lunch in Mote Park, a hidden gem with lovely waterfront views. What’s a tutu trip without a little time for a nice, leisurely picnic, wouldn't you say? And of course, what picnic wouldn't be complete with my favourite champagne flute.

The highlight of my trip, however, had to be a visit to Leeds Castle. What a gorgeous piece of history! I've never seen a castle so elegant and majestic, nestled right on the river. I couldn't resist snapping a photo or two with my pink tutu on in front of the imposing stonework. It's one for the scrapbook, darling, just me and the beautiful castle, the only things shining brighter than the sun!

After exploring the castle and its enchanting grounds, I found myself charmed by a cute little café tucked away near the castle moat. This little bakery had the most delicious, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate cake, oh dear, it really was sinful! And while enjoying the sweet treat, I spotted a family enjoying a horseback ride through the castle grounds. This sparked an idea – what could be more fun than travelling in a horse drawn carriage with a tutu on? Now there’s a thought for next time!

But alas, my time in Maidstone, and in Kent, was at an end. I waved goodbye to the gentle rolling hills and beautiful countryside and took the train back to Derbyshire, feeling like I'd left a bit of my tutu magic behind in that lovely corner of the world.

Of course, my favourite pink tutu wouldn’t be left out of the journey back home. She’s become my constant companion. As the sun set and cast a golden glow on the countryside, my pink fluff tutu seemed to glow too! The light played beautifully on the delicate pink silk. I couldn’t help but feel happy - it’s moments like this that make my heart sing. There’s just something about that delicate pink hue and the way the sunlight dances upon its swirling pleats that brings joy to my soul! The pink tulle sparks an instant smile, and as I watch it shimmer and sway with every train shake, I couldn’t help but feel completely content with my life, right here, right now.

There’s a sense of wonder about life, a love of simple joys, that’s embedded in my pink tutu spirit, and I truly hope it rubs off on those around me.

So come along, darlings, and join me on the pink-tutu journey. Wear your heart on your sleeve ( or better yet, wear a tutu on your heart! ). Live your life boldly, beautifully, with a touch of tutu magic, because darling, life's too short not to twirl with a smile on your face and a pink tutu on your feet!

Till next time,

Emma xx
