Oxford, Sweet Oxford! 🩰💖

Hello darlings! It’s your favourite pink tutu-loving ballerina, Emma, here, writing to you from the most charming city, Oxford! Oh, I simply adore Oxford - the quaint streets, the majestic buildings, the peaceful Thames winding through the heart of it all. And, naturally, the magnificent ballet scene, of course!

Today’s adventure took me by train, my favourite way to travel. The scenery is always a delight and I find the rhythmic clinking of the rails so calming, it almost feels like a waltz! 🎵 Speaking of waltzes, my beautiful tutu for this trip is the ultimate romantic confection – layers upon layers of shimmering pale pink tulle with delicate rosebuds embellishing the skirt. Just imagine the twirls! It's so fabulous, it's positively fit for a princess! ✨

Once I arrived, I practically skipped my way straight to the Covered Market. The air was alive with the scent of fresh fruit and freshly baked pastries. I snagged a gorgeous box of artisan macarons from the lovely ladies at La Patisserie, their delicate pastel colours making my heart sing. Honestly, these delicate little delights are a ballet dancer’s dream! Each bite feels as light and airy as a grand jeté. 💖

And to make my trip truly unforgettable, I was invited to see the Oxford Ballet Theatre performing Giselle! They've got some fantastic dancers, and their choreography was so elegant, I practically gasped with admiration during every pas de deux. They’ve captured the tragedy and romance of the story beautifully – it left me feeling as though I’d travelled through time and landed straight into a ballet in the heart of the Victorian era. 🩰 It was a truly enchanting experience.

Oh, and talking about the magical atmosphere here – you wouldn't believe it, but on my way to the theatre, I happened upon a most unexpected spectacle! There was a group of school children dressed as fairies, prancing merrily through the Oxford Botanic Garden, waving butterfly nets and chasing after fluttering butterflies! It was as if a page had been ripped from a storybook! You know me, my inner child went wild. I joined them, giggling, swirling around them as they flitted through the wildflowers. 🌼

Just imagine, it was like dancing through the most fantastical meadow, like something out of a Midsummer Night’s Dream. Honestly, it felt so freeing, it was as though all the joy in the world had condensed into those few magical minutes. ✨

It’s just wonderful to see how even in the midst of bustling city life, there's still space for wonder, magic, and beauty. Just like dancing, you see? It's about finding those little moments of joy, and embracing the beautiful, enchanting side of life.

So, my dear friends, what’s your favourite place to dance, even just a twirl in a quiet corner? And if you’ve never experienced the pure bliss of ballet, take it from a tutu-wearing expert – it’s worth every moment. Just picture yourself on a stage, surrounded by an orchestra, with your beautiful tutu swirling around you! There’s nothing more graceful, more elegant, or more enchanting than ballet. And wouldn’t it be absolutely splendid if we could all embrace a touch of the “pink tutu life”? 😊

Don't forget to tell me about your favourite pink tutu outfit or your most cherished ballet memories in the comments below.
