Blackpool Bliss: Pancake Tutu Edition!

#TutuBlog Post #4421

Hey everyone! It's Emma here, back from a whirlwind trip to the seaside gem that is Blackpool. You all know I'm a big fan of all things pink and all things tutu, so a day at Blackpool Pleasure Beach was just the ticket to fulfil both passions!

The journey up was, as always, a blast. My favourite thing about travelling? The anticipation, of course! And nothing beats a scenic train ride. I spotted a cute little hedgehog by the track – they are the most adorable creatures, aren't they? I always feel like they should be wearing tiny pink tutus too, but perhaps I'm taking my obsession a little far! πŸ˜‰

Upon arrival in Blackpool, I was met with the salty tang of the sea, a sight that never fails to put a smile on my face. My mission was simple: ride every rollercoaster, sample all the delights that Blackpool's famous market has to offer, and, most importantly, spread the gospel of pink tutus wherever I went.

First stop, Blackpool Tower Ballroom. This place is a true icon of British glamour, with its soaring ceiling and swirling dancefloor. I even got to twirl around a little in a classic waltz, thanks to a lovely chap in a smart suit who kindly asked me to dance. Honestly, I think I could have twirled for hours! And yes, of course, my outfit was tutu-tastic: a beautiful blush pink tulle skirt with silver sequins. It really sparkled under the Ballroom's twinkling lights.

Next up, the iconic Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Rollercoasters, rides, arcades – it was a full-blown sensory overload, and I loved every minute of it! I have to confess, the height of the Big One left me slightly lightheaded, but it was worth it for the sheer adrenaline rush! And, naturally, no trip to Blackpool is complete without a massive, gloriously sticky pancake. It would have been the perfect excuse for a "pancake tutu" but sadly my fabric stash was not with me.

To keep the pink theme alive, I had the most delectable pink ice cream on the seafront. Did you know Blackpool has a beautiful pier with traditional stalls and arcades? It felt like I'd stepped into a seaside postcard!

One of my favourite memories was from a stroll down the Golden Mile. As I passed a group of children, one of them shouted "That's a fancy tutu, miss!" – the perfect example of how ballet can bring joy and wonder to all ages! Maybe, just maybe, he'll be joining me for ballet classes someday…

Blackpool is the perfect mix of seaside fun, exhilarating thrills, and nostalgic charm. And for someone like me, who lives for all things pink, girly, and graceful, it's just about the best weekend getaway imaginable.

So, my friends, have you ever been to Blackpool? Have you been tempted to join the "pink tutu movement"? Remember, there's no dress code for spreading the love and joy of ballet. We all have the potential to be beautiful and graceful, even without a full tutu.

Keep it pink and keep twirling!

Lots of love,

Emma
