Hello my darling tutu-lovers! It’s Emma here, back with another exciting installment from your favourite pink-tutu-clad adventurer. This week, I’ve traded my Derbyshire hills for the rolling green hills of Devon. I hopped on a train, naturally, and settled into my first-class carriage, dreaming of all the wonderful things I'd find in Paignton. I mean, who wouldn't get giddy with excitement at the prospect of a seaside adventure?!
The Pinkest Paignton
I have to tell you, Paignton is absolutely dripping with charm! Just as I pictured it in my head – sunshine, quaint seaside shops, the smell of salt air and... gasp... a little pink beach hut, just perfectly positioned by the pier. Of course, I couldn’t resist snapping a photo with the gorgeous hut as the backdrop – my trusty pink tutu swaying in the sea breeze. It was totally a "me" moment!
Speaking of pink, Paignton’s definitely a place that’s not afraid of a little colour. I was amazed by the abundance of candy-coloured cottages lining the cobbled streets, not to mention the seriously fabulous selection of shops selling everything from seaside souvenirs to the most gorgeous, sparkly pink dresses (I'm looking at you, "Seashell & Sun" boutique, I'm coming for you!)
Adventures by the Sea
My day in Paignton started with a morning stroll along the pier. I must admit, I have a thing for promenades. The scent of the ocean air and the sound of seagulls chatting is seriously soothing. And you can't go wrong with those killer views of the Devon coastline. Just picture it: the golden sand, the azure sky, and my fab pink tutu swirling in the wind – pure magic, I tell you!
I was actually in Paignton on a very special mission, darling: to watch the world’s best ballet dancers perform their most spectacular routines in a gorgeous, coastal-themed performance. You guys, it was truly divine. Every turn, every pirouette, every leap… it just swept me away! It was like watching a masterpiece unfold in real-time, and I wouldn’t have traded it for all the tea in China (although a cup of Earl Grey with a little finger biscuit wouldn’t go amiss either! ).
Wildlife Watching (And Tutu-ing!)
You see, Paignton has a very special attraction that has to be included in my blog. The Paignton Zoo, darling! And, guess what? My lovely pink tutu just had to make a cameo! Imagine this: me, gliding gracefully across the zoo grounds, my tutu catching the light and, let’s just say, captivating the local zoo inhabitants. From the playful monkeys swinging in their enclosures, to the penguins waddling across the water – every creature I encountered seemed transfixed by my… ahem… dazzling presence.
I love to connect with nature. You know I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – it’s one of my absolute favorite things in the world. So of course, I had to have my pink tutu in tow while I enjoyed my journey through the fascinating world of animal kingdom. Let’s just say the zoo was my personal ballet stage! And let me tell you, those seals are quite the showmen… completely stole my heart!

Fashion Frenzy: Remember that "Seashell & Sun" boutique? Let me tell you, it's totally a must-visit. Don’t forget to treat yourself to some seaside goodies in those adorable pink-tinted candy shops – very photogenic for your social media feed, you know!
Animal Admiration: Pack some treats for the wildlife, my love. A little nibble for those cute, furry creatures is always a nice gesture. Plus, who knows? You might even capture a perfectly framed photo of a seal eyeing your fab pink tutu (a classic shot that I just have to have).
Sunset Serenade: When the sun starts to dip down towards the horizon, head to the pier. The soft golden glow paints the entire town with magic, and there's nothing quite like the breathtaking colours that nature puts on display for us. You know I'm a total sunset sucker! It's the perfect moment for a pink-tutu photo-op, wouldn't you agree?
