Pont-y-pool & Pink Tutu Power: Post #4617 🩰

Hello my lovely lot! Emma here, reporting live from the gorgeous Pont-y-pool, Wales! I simply had to whisk myself off on a little train trip to this beautiful part of the world - I couldn't resist a weekend of exploring, ballet and, of course, a touch of pink tutu magic.

It’s been a whirlwind few days - I've been doing a little 'research' (aka, dancing up a storm) at the local dance studio and soaking up the charming local sights. Don't worry, I’m saving my pennies for the beautiful castle in town – you just know it’s going to look fab in my pink tutu! Speaking of pink… you’ve just gotta check out this new addition to my tutu collection.

This, my darlings, is a masterpiece! My dear friend, Lily (a fellow tutu aficionado from the Cotswolds!) made it for me using the most incredible silks. It’s literally all shades of pink, like a sunset over a sugar-spun sky. Oh, the drama! Just imagine it twirling in the evening breeze – pure enchantment, wouldn't you say?

Speaking of enchanting, I had the absolute pleasure of watching the most exquisite ballet performance in the local theatre. A performance of ‘Giselle’ - a true classic! The artistry and storytelling were phenomenal – every pirouette, every leap, filled me with joy. It made me want to throw on my own pink tutu and take to the stage right then and there! The feeling of connection with these dancers, and the incredible story they were weaving – just breathtaking! It reminded me of all the magic that resides in this art form – a true passion that transcends borders and generations.

My days in Pont-y-pool haven’t just been about twirling in my pink tutu and swooning over graceful dancers, though. I've also had the joy of exploring the stunning Welsh countryside. I took a lovely little horseback ride through the rolling hills – that feeling of freedom! And, I must confess, I couldn’t resist snapping a picture of my pink tutu amongst the breathtaking views!

Isn’t that just a perfect match?!

And who wouldn’t be a little bit inspired by a picturesque scene like that, anyway? This week, my lovely blog followers, I'm challenging you to find beauty in the ordinary, in your everyday life. Whether it’s a breathtaking sunrise, a sweet moment with a loved one, or just the simple act of twirling in a pink tutu (which I strongly recommend!) Open your heart to the joy around you, and let it empower you!

I even spotted the cutest little bunny rabbit in the field yesterday! They're one of my favourite creatures. So sweet, so gentle. Did you know, bunnies are known to be incredibly curious creatures? It reminds me a bit of all of us, when we first discover the magic of ballet! It's like the world opens up, a whole new stage, just waiting for you to twirl on it.

That brings me to my next mission. Remember how I said I'm on a mission to get the whole world wearing a pink tutu and dancing to the beat of ballet? Well, I'm going to take a little break from my busy schedule to help inspire the young people in this little corner of Wales! I've just finished arranging a fun 'Pink Tutu Party' at the local community centre! We'll have music, games, and ballet – maybe even a tutu making station – I simply cannot resist those sparkly tutus! – I can already feel the laughter, joy and a touch of glitter, I think it’s going to be utterly fabulous!

I believe in sharing the joy of dance with everyone, so please, come along! If you're reading this and you’re in Pont-y-pool (or maybe just fancy a long weekend away!) why not join me for a bit of fun and embrace the magic of the dance! We can all be ballerinas for the day, don't you think?! And who knows? Maybe this is the first step on someone's magical ballet journey… That, my darling friends, would truly be a beautiful thing!

Stay sparkly, and keep twirling those pink tutus!

Lots of love,

Emma 💕
