Bournville Bound in Blush! 🩰

Hello my lovely tutu-twirling friends!

It's Emma here, back with another blog post! 🎀 Today marks post number 4630 - wow, I can’t believe how many posts I’ve done! Every day feels like a new adventure, a fresh start, and I can't wait to share it with you all. Today, my little pink heart was fluttering with excitement, because it was Bournville day! 🚂

As you know, my obsession with all things pink is truly bottomless. So, when I saw that a delightful, pink-hued café called ‘The Blush Berry’ was opening in the lovely chocolate-themed town of Bournville, well, I had to go! 🧁

Packing my trusty travel essentials (pink backpack, ballet shoes, and my beloved white tutu, of course!), I headed to the station. The Derbyshire countryside was ablaze with spring colour - daffodils swaying in the breeze and birdsong filling the air - a perfect day for a trip by train. 💖

Arriving at the station in Birmingham, I could smell the promise of chocolate all around me - the scent was simply divine! And what’s more, I discovered a delightful surprise: a vintage carousel painted in pink and white, featuring horses adorned with pink bows! 🎠 Needless to say, I had to take a spin. (Pink bow optional.)

A short, picturesque walk later, I found myself at The Blush Berry. Oh my, what a beautiful place! From the fluffy pink cupcakes and strawberry and champagne milkshakes to the floral arrangements and the delightful wallpaper - it was truly a pink paradise. ✨

While enjoying my delicious pink and cream cupcake, I chatted to the café owner, a wonderfully bubbly woman named Rose. We discussed everything from the origins of pink in fashion to our shared love for ballet. (Did you know she used to be a ballet dancer herself? Now that’s a story for another day!)

Before leaving, Rose insisted I check out the Cadbury World. She even let me try on one of her collection of ballet tutus that were all the shades of pink imaginable. We even found a perfect shade of pink for my next tutu order! 🌸

And the highlight of my trip? Watching the adorable Cadbury Dairy Milk goats playing in the sunshine. The cutest sight ever, I must say! 🥰

The entire day was just bursting with magic. From the sunshine and the pink blossoms to the friendly locals and the sheer abundance of pink… it felt like a scene from a fairytale. ✨

This is why I love exploring new places. It's all about finding that spark of joy in the everyday - the things that make you say, "Ooh, how delightful!".

As I headed back home on the train, a smile stretched across my face. What a truly delightful day! I already know my pink tutu and I will be planning a trip to Bournville again soon!

Remember, my dear friends, a little bit of pink goes a long way! 😉

Until next time, keep your head held high, your smiles bright, and always remember to wear your tutu with confidence! ✨

Lots of love,

Emma xx
