Hello my darling pink tutu-loving friends! 💖
It’s Emma here, your favourite Derbyshire-born ballet enthusiast, writing to you from a gloriously sunny Norwich! ☀️ I know, I know, it’s April, we shouldn’t be so excited about a bit of sunshine, but trust me, the skies were a glorious blue this morning as I arrived by train (always my preferred method of transport – so much more romantic than those stuffy aeroplane things!)
Speaking of romance, you guys wouldn't believe the adventures I’ve already had in just a few hours! My train journey was filled with delightful moments – a cute old lady with a pink-striped handbag sat across from me and complimented my tutu, and I had a very spirited conversation with a chap dressed as a knight in shining armour about the merits of the "en pointe" technique. It really was quite an entertaining way to kick off my day. 😉
Of course, I couldn’t resist arriving in Norwich with a bit of a fashion statement. Forget your plain, old, boring tutus - I brought my new Pancake Tutu! 🥞 You've got to see this creation! It’s made of the most delicate silk, with a layer of shimmering, frosted fabric that truly mimics the fluffy, golden goodness of a real pancake. Now, you’re probably wondering what brings me to Norwich. Well, the lovely people here are hosting a massive "Ballet in the Park" event this weekend! Imagine the most beautiful open-air setting, the scent of spring in the air, and dancers from all over the county performing under the beautiful sunshine. My soul just bursts with excitement every time I think about it! 🎉 And to top it all off, they’re having a massive Pancake Day competition. Pancakes galore, my friends! Who knows, maybe I'll even make a few pancake tutus for the occasion! 🥞
I wouldn't dream of venturing out to the ballet without some truly stunning makeup. I'm rocking my "Sweet Dreams" eye shadow palette from Lily's London Cosmetics today. It’s a collection of delicate pinks, peaches, and shimmers, and with my new “Pink Sugar” lipstick, it’s a guaranteed way to turn heads and inspire a bit of ballet-mania. 💄
Speaking of ballet, have you ever seen a ballet performance outside of a theatre? Let me tell you, there’s a certain magic in watching a performance under the open sky, surrounded by a cheering crowd. It's something truly special that adds a little bit of romance and magic to even the most familiar ballet moves. In between all the dance-watching and pancake-eating (my goal is to sample every single pancake variety), I’m planning a delightful jaunt around Norwich's enchanting streets. I’ve heard whispers about a charming little boutique called "Tutus & Tiaras" which sounds like the perfect place for me to browse. Imagine the pink delight! 💖 Plus, who could resist a delightful horse-drawn carriage tour? Imagine, me in my glorious pancake tutu, trotting along in a romantic horse-drawn carriage through the charming Norwich streets. What could be more idyllic?
One of my favourite things about exploring new places is spotting wildlife. You'd be surprised how many little creatures find homes in the busiest cities. In Norwich, I’m keeping my eyes peeled for some elusive robins and sparrows. You know I can’t resist a photo opportunity, and sharing my love of nature with you. 🐦
