Sunshine, Sea, and Swirling Tutus - A Whirlwind Bournemouth Adventure!

Hey everyone! Emma here, your favourite pink-tutu-wearing, ballet-obsessed blogger, back with another fabulously twirling tale! This week has been a whirlwind of coastal delights and ballet bliss in sunny Bournemouth. I mean, imagine, the gorgeous seaside, the smell of salt air, and of course, me in my latest tulle creation... oh, it's just magical!

As usual, I chose the most stylish way to get to Bournemouth - a glamorous train ride! (Yes, my love affair with the iron horse continues. The sound of the wheels on the track always fills me with anticipation). Arriving at the station was like stepping into a movie scene - bright sunshine, that lovely sea breeze, and all those pretty Victorian buildings - Bournemouth just oozes charm.

Speaking of charm, this little seaside town has more than just a touch of it! I spent the morning exploring the beautiful gardens - think stunning floral displays, whispy palm trees, and an air of tranquility that's simply heavenly. Later, I even managed to steal away a few minutes to sit on the pier, soaking up the sun and watching the surfers brave the waves. It was the perfect start to my Bournemouth adventure, just what I needed to feel those creative juices flowing.

But you know me, a day can't go by without a little ballet magic, can it? This time, I was absolutely giddy to find a darling little ballet studio tucked away on a cobbled side street. Imagine my joy when I walked in and found they had a drop-in class on classical ballet! Oh, how my heart danced to the rhythm of the music, how my toes extended effortlessly, how my tutu twirled in harmony! My 'tutu dream' was officially a reality - even away from Derbyshire, there's a magic to ballet that truly transports you.

As evening fell, my day was only getting better! It's just the sort of magic a pink-tutu-loving girl lives for, darling. I couldnā€™t miss the Bournemouth Ballet Theatre production of "Giselle," which was being performed in this beautiful, Victorian theatre on the cliff tops! You just canā€™t beat a little sea air mixed with the elegance of ballet.

Oh, and I absolutely must mention the costume designer's stunning use of colours! I'm a sucker for a pretty colour palette - there was the most delicious array of dusty pinks, creamy blues and forest greens. I think a few of my favourite shades might just make a comeback in some of my upcoming tutu creations, shall we say.

Even after the curtain came down, the evening's enchantment wasn't over. There was the most beautiful moonlight walk along the beach, and the crisp air was the perfect way to end my 'pink-tutu-tastic' Bournemouth day.

My next few days were just as delightful, each one bringing something special:

Day Two - 'Pony in a Pink Tutu': A Delightful Trot through the Countryside

Okay, you guys know I'm obsessed with horses, so it just wouldn't be a proper blog post without some equine involvement! This day was all about escaping the hustle and bustle of the coast and heading inland, for a horse-riding adventure!

Imagine this: me, perched atop a gorgeous chestnut mare, with the wind in my hair, feeling utterly liberated. It was like we were one, galloping through meadows sprinkled with wildflowers. Of course, no horseback escapade is complete without my little pink-tutu twist, right? So I took the opportunity to snap a few snaps for my social media - imagine a pink tutu amidst the emerald green of the countryside. Just perfection!

Day Three - Seagull Snacks and Seaside Dreams

I simply adore a seaside town's charming little cafes and quaint little tea rooms, where you can grab a delicious bite to eat whilst watching the world go by. And as I tucked into a dainty afternoon tea (pink scones and delicate sandwiches, of course!) it wasnā€™t just the stunning ocean view I was captivated by - a family of cheeky seagulls swooped in! Those little creatures really took me by surprise - they were so full of personality, almost as though they were cheering me on in my pink-tutu endeavours.

Day Four - 'Wildlife Wonders' & A Pink-Tutu-Inspired Dress Design!

Bournemouth is surprisingly close to the New Forest! Now, if you're as in love with animals as I am, the New Forest is just paradise. I spent the morning wandering through this incredible natural playground. What amazed me most was the beautiful, ancient trees - it felt as though Iā€™d stepped into a fairy tale, especially with the sun dappling through the leaves. It was there that I got inspired by the dappled sunlight, thinking how perfect it would be to incorporate the green of the forest and the delicate, playful feel of pink into a new tutu design. This little creative burst was such a special experience. I can just picture a new range of my creations ā€“ oh, the possibilities!

My 'Bournemouth-in-a-Tutu' Farewell

Now, youā€™ve just gotta admit, this whole trip has been truly ā€˜Pink Tutuā€™tastic! My time in Bournemouth was absolutely full of joy, magical moments, and enough ā€˜Pink-tutu inspirationā€™ to last me a lifetime.

From dancing in the sunshine, to riding horses under the sky, to being serenaded by seagulls ā€“ it's been a truly magical, feminine, and ā€˜tutu-tasticā€™ experience, wouldn't you say? This place is certainly a little gem that Iā€™ll definitely return to. So, till next time Bournemouth, au revoir!

If you are as obsessed with tutus and ballet as I am, let me know, we should grab a pink-tutu and get twirling! And for those who are thinking, ā€œWhy a tutu?!ā€ - remember my mission: spreading ballet joy and pink-tutu love one whirl at a time! Oh, and as always, letā€™s get everyone into pink tutus - itā€™s the best accessory in the whole world, darling!

Lots of love,

Emma
