Hayes: Tutu-ing About in a Sunshine Yellow! ☀️💛🩰

Post 4703

Helloooo, my darling tutu-lovers! Emma here, writing to you live from sunny Hayes! Just popped on the train from Derbyshire – I'm feeling so chuffed, this trip feels like a real adventure, even though it's just a day trip.

Today's all about that vibrant, sunny yellow tutu – you know the one I mean, the one that’s like a big, beautiful sunflower! I just had to pack it in my bag – sometimes a girl needs a bit of sunshine even if it’s not a summer’s day.

Honestly, this little yellow number is absolutely fabulous. It makes me want to dance with abandon! (And I may or may not have done just that on the train platform - but shh!). I can't help but feel like a little sunshine ray whenever I wear it, bringing some cheer and a touch of whimsy to the day.

So, you're probably wondering: Hayes? What's in Hayes? Well, darlings, it's more about the journey than the destination this time.

Hayes is a lovely little town in Middlesex – don’t even get me started on its lovely park! And anyway, I’ve been dying to visit since that little café opened up a few weeks ago – apparently they do the best iced lavender lattes in the whole county! Oh, how I love a pretty café with cute furniture and good pastries… and a lavender latte that looks as good as it tastes! swoons.

Today’s all about embracing the unexpected - embracing life in your tutu and getting lost in the magic of the moment. Whether you're dancing down the street or twirling around your own living room, don’t forget that every day is a chance to create your own ballet story.

Later on today, I'm going to watch a wonderful ballet company performing Giselle in a converted old church – they've actually turned it into an incredible, intimate performance space. The fact they’re playing Giselle on a Friday afternoon? Absolutely genius! And it gets better: they're holding a raffle afterwards, and the prize is...wait for it... a bright pink tutu! (My lucky day? I think so!).

Now, let me tell you about a fabulous thing I saw earlier... Imagine my delight as I stepped off the train station in Hayes and was greeted by a group of ladies in...well… you guessed it… tutus. A lovely older lady who looked so glamorous in a sparkling turquoise tutu came up to me with a beaming smile and a beautiful sunflower… it was truly one of those serendipitous moments that makes life so amazing. (And it only happened because I wore that sunny yellow number today.) She told me she runs a group in Hayes that meets up every month, wearing tutus and dancing in the park. What a beautiful image, eh?

I also had the pleasure of meeting a stunning lady who wore a magnificent ruby-red tutu and matching feather boa. This wonderful woman had this contagious energy about her and immediately started talking about the joy of twirling… sighs wistfully. You really should’ve seen us; it felt like we were right in the middle of a musical! All of this just in the short walk from the station! Talk about magic happening every day…

And of course, the journey itself is never boring, especially when I have my tutu on. The train journey was particularly lovely; we were graced with beautiful rolling hills and fluffy sheep munching peacefully in meadows – such a perfect setting for daydreaming about tutu adventures.

My journey today also led me to a stunning oak tree that is home to a nesting family of owls. I swear it felt as though the whole woodland came alive as these gorgeous creatures swooped and soared, the sun illuminating their feathers with the golden hue of the afternoon sun.

I know I tell you this every day, darling readers, but don’t forget, every day can be an adventure if you embrace it! You don’t need to travel across the world for adventure, just put on your favourite tutu and go find it! Who knows, you may just end up in the company of a glamorous granny in a turquoise tutu who is delighted to offer you a beautiful sunflower.

But now, it's time to dance!

Until tomorrow, darlings,

Emma xxx
