Ealing, Oh Ealing! (Post #4713)

Hello darlings! It's your favourite tutu-loving, pink-obsessed, ballet-mad blogger Emma here, checking in from the heart ofā€¦wait for itā€¦Ealing! Can you believe it? This Derbyshire girl's been swept off her feet and deposited in this charming London borough! It all happened becauseā€¦drumrollā€¦ a wonderful opportunity popped up!

I got a message out of the blue from the lovely people at Ealing Little Theatre inviting me to their annual ā€œBallet Extravaganzaā€ as their guest of honour. Of course, I said yes before they'd even finished speaking! Who could refuse such an offer?

Now, the journey itself was quite the adventure. Instead of opting for the usual tube journey (the sheer thought of those packed carriages gives me the shivers!), I decided to be daring and ride into London in style - on horseback! My trusty steed, Poppy, is quite the seasoned traveler and we covered the distance in record time, galloping past sprawling fields and charming villages. Poppy even paused for a quick picnic at a field with a herd of curious sheep (and, naturally, a few Insta-worthy snaps). The air was fresh, the sun was shining and, if I do say so myself, we looked absolutely dashing!

Arriving in Ealing, I was struck by its beauty. The charming streets are lined with quaint cafes and shops, all bursting with that quintessential English charm. And then, the cherry on topā€¦ the Ealing Little Theatre! It's a lovely building, boasting a lovely, almost intimate setting - you can practically feel the history in the walls! I simply had to take a quick snap in front of the entrance, holding my favourite pink tutu high, to celebrate the occasion.

But the real treat was the performance itself. The talented dancers of the Ealing Ballet Academy absolutely floored me. There was passion, elegance, strength, and pure joy flowing out from every graceful movement. They transported me to a world of dreams and emotions, showcasing the beauty and power of ballet through captivating choreography and stunning costumes. I must admit, a tear or two slipped out, Iā€™m such a sucker for emotional ballet, I canā€™t help myself!

I also took the chance to join in on a beginner's class, a little ā€œwarm upā€ for the show. It was surprisingly fun and so lovely to see children discovering the joy of dance and embracing the magic of movement! It reminded me of my own childhood, tiptoeing around my living room in a bright pink tutu, dreaming of dancing on a stage.

As for my personal fashion choice for this adventureā€¦ oh my! I was absolutely thrilled to unearth a treasure at a little vintage shop nestled amongst Ealingā€™s cobbled streets. A genuine, pre-loved tutu, made of delicate lace, in the most stunning shade of pink, just waiting to be twirled! Itā€™s not your typical ballerina pink, more a blush with a hint of peach - Iā€™m obsessed! It paired perfectly with a floaty white dress, a wide-brimmed hat with pink ribbon, and of course, a tiny purse to hold my essentials ā€“ a touch of lipstick and my secret stash of pink sparkly face glitter!

I might have turned a few heads (well, maybe just my signature pink hairstyle!), but the positive energy I received was so heart-warming. Everyone smiled and greeted me with warm enthusiasm! I canā€™t wait to share the pictures and stories from this delightful trip on the website.

Speaking of sharingā€¦ don't forget, darlings! You can all join me on the www.pink-tutu.com website. Every day, I post a new blog - and if you feel inspired to rock a pink tutu and embrace the magical world of ballet, share your pictures with me on our community page. Remember, every day is an opportunity to dance, and we can all embrace the world with grace, joy and a little bit of pink sparkle!

Until next time, darlings! Keep those tutus twirling and your hearts dancing!

Lots of love, Emma xo
