Paisley Paradise: Tutu Travels, Post 4981

Hello darlings! It's Emma, your favourite pink-loving tutu enthusiast, checking in from the beautiful, vibrant town of Paisley! Oh, how I love this little corner of Scotland, it's full of so much charm and history!

Today's adventures took me on a charming train journey, the scenery zipping by as I imagined I was twirling alongside the swaying trees, oh, if only it was so simple! After an adorable lunch of sandwiches and elderflower cordial, I felt a pang of inspiration to get to my local dance studio to rehearse, so off I popped on a pink bus, yes a pink bus! I love how things are so colourful here.

Once at the studio, the scent of lavender and wood polish welcomed me and all the lovely ladies. Their smiles were so bright, the light bouncing off the dance floor, such a fabulous sight. The room vibrated with the rhythm of barre work, plies, and jumps; it was heaven! The classical style is definitely my go-to for grace, but for my finale, I was channeling my inner swan! The fluid movement felt incredible and as the sweat dripped from my brow, I knew it was a successful day. And did I tell you? The studio even had a little gift shop where I found the perfect little pair of pale pink satin ballerina slippers. I just had to have them, and of course, I took a little selfie in my full Tutu regalia. (Check out my Instagram later!)

* Paisley Park*

The afternoon saw me taking a wander down by the River Cart, the sun glinting on the water as if I was in a magical scene from a story book. Oh, I wish I could have done a twirl or two by the riverside, it was truly an inspiration!

Now, I am a girl of simple pleasures. You might think this makes me sound quite boring, but, I’ve realised that it is those small, simple joys that bring the biggest smile to my face. The aroma of freshly baked bread in the little cafes, the bright bluebell patches nestled in the fields, and oh, my gosh, the squirrels! Squirrels! So cute, I almost want to scoop them all up in my arms, although my Mum might not approve! These little delights are what make a day really special.

As my trip to Paisley nears its end, I couldn't leave without heading to the famous Paisley Museum & Art Galleries, a wonderland of treasures! The art work, textiles and furniture left me in awe, and of course I found some gorgeous pink items! I had to take home a little pink teacup as a souvenir and maybe, just maybe, I might use it for a celebratory pink-tutu themed tea party at home, oh I can just imagine!

* Pink Princesses: The Pink Tutu Movement*

You know, darlings, I have an ambition. A big one. I want to get everyone, everywhere wearing a pink tutu. Why? Because a tutu is about joy, about movement, about feeling fantastic! We should all celebrate that free spirit in ourselves, be it dancing, painting, singing, or even simply skipping down the street.

The world would be a better place if we were all wearing pink tutus, or, maybe it wouldn’t! Who knows? But what I do know is that you’re never too old, too shy, or too ‘serious’ to wear one. It’s about having a bit of fun, adding some sparkle to life! So don’t just dream about it, DO IT!

Maybe Paisley has inspired me a little too much? Perhaps my obsession with pink has become a bit too strong, or perhaps you will all be wearing pink tutus before I know it! But really, is there any bad to be said about such a whimsical idea?

Stay tuned for the next installment of my Tutu travels and don't forget to check in on www.pink-tutu.com!

Lots of love,

Emma xx
