TutuBlog Post #4992: Rugby with a Green Tutu!

Hello darlings!

It's Emma here, and today I'm feeling a little bit adventurous, and a little bit daring. As you all know, my love for ballet and tutus is boundless, and it's really taking me on the most wonderful journeys. Today, I'm writing to you from a little village called Rugby, a hop and skip away from the city that gave the sport its name. Now, don't be fooled by the seemingly sporty locale! I was here to check out a ballet show in the most charming, intimate theatre I've ever seen, nestled within this quintessentially British town.

I must admit, even I felt a little daring arriving at the theatre in my brand new, emerald green tutu! Yes, a green tutu. It was a splurge, and I've been longing for a non-traditional shade to wear for a while now. It was so exciting, a vibrant emerald against the pale brick of the theatre. I even wore my matching pink shoes to add that dash of Emma sparkle.

As the audience took their seats, the chatter slowly died down. There was a sense of anticipation in the air, something quite magical about the theatre before the lights dim. You could feel everyone, young and old, getting swept away in the shared love of ballet. The performance was absolutely stunning - it felt like magic. We were all transported into another world with the elegant movement, beautiful costumes, and the pure emotion that poured from the dancers. It truly touched my soul.

Speaking of magic, did you know that Warwickshire (the county I'm in at the moment) has such stunning countryside? My journey here from Derbyshire was breathtaking! I actually took a delightful horse-drawn carriage from a small village to the railway station, it was straight out of a storybook! And the countryside just unfolded like a masterpiece of emerald hills, babbling streams, and those quaint cottages, each one more adorable than the last.

When I wasn't at the theatre, I took the opportunity to enjoy some of the charming wildlife around the area. There were ducks waddling along the river, a family of squirrels chasing each other up and down a giant oak tree, and even a cheeky little robin that perched on the edge of my teacup, chirping at me like he wanted a bit of my scone.

I am truly so lucky to be able to explore these wonderful corners of the world and to share them with you all. It’s moments like these, being surrounded by beauty, both human and animal, that make my life feel truly complete.

As I write this, I can already feel the lure of the railway station calling me to new adventures. There are so many fascinating places waiting to be discovered, so many stunning ballets to watch, and so many more tutus I long to add to my collection (a blush pink one is calling my name, I just know it!).

My advice to you? Don’t be afraid to embrace your love of tutus, don't hesitate to try a ballet class, and always, always make sure to look around you at the wonder of the world! I might just see you there one day!

Love, Emma xx www.pink-tutu.com
