Boston Bound: Tutu Tales & Train Travel

#5001

Good morning lovelies! Emma here, back with a brand new blog post direct from the heart of Boston, a city that's already captured my heart with its cobbled streets, charming cafes, and, most importantly, its vibrant ballet scene!

Now, let me tell you, this journey was an adventure in itself. Forget the dreaded aeroplane, darling - I'm all about train travel! This time I opted for a sleeper, you know, with those comfy beds and breakfast brought to your compartment in the morning? Absolute heaven! Of course, I had my trusty pink suitcase overflowing with a colourful array of tutus for this Bostonian ballet binge, including my newest acquisition, a magnificent, wide, blush pink confection with sparkling accents! (More on that beauty later!)

You know how much I love wildlife, right? Well, my train journey was just brimming with furry friends! We were fortunate to spot a little deer family just as the sun started to set - a perfect way to kick off my trip, full of grace and wonder, much like a ballerina in her prime. I mean, have you seen those majestic deer leaps? So effortlessly beautiful!

Now, about Boston... this city is just bubbling with excitement, darling! It feels alive, and full of so much creative energy, particularly when it comes to ballet. It's like everywhere you go, someone's twirling, leaps, and arabesques. This isn't just your usual, prim and proper, ballet, no, it's vibrant and full of energy!

One thing that totally blew my mind was the street performances! Imagine it: a balletic symphony in action on a cobbled street corner! The sheer talent was unreal. You'd have ballerinas of all shapes, sizes, and ages weaving their magic on a concrete stage. And the audience? Well, it was just as spectacular, captivated by every plié, every grand jeté.

Last night, I had the privilege of attending the Boston Ballet's "Giselle." It was truly a feast for the senses! The intricate choreography, the delicate yet powerful movements, the hauntingly beautiful music - it was pure enchantment. This 'Giselle' brought a whole new meaning to 'love at first sight' - I'm head over heels with Boston ballet, my lovelies!

But let's be honest, darling, you didn't come here for a recap of a ballet show, you want to know all about my Boston Ballet look, right?!

This time, I had to create something utterly special! A nod to Boston, but with my signature pink flair, and that dazzling, wide pink tutu I mentioned earlier? You betcha!

Now, let me tell you, finding the perfect dress was a journey in itself. It took me wandering through Boston's beautiful boutique stores, each filled with its own treasure trove of vintage delights. And then I found her, darling! This elegant ivory lace dress with delicate flower embellishments, it had that classic Bostonian charm but with a modern twist. It wasn't screaming for attention, just gently whispering, 'Hello, darling, I'm exquisite and I'm here to steal the show,' - the ideal pairing for a show-stopping pink tutu.

As for the hair, it had to be simple yet elegant, because I wanted all eyes to be on that breathtaking pink tutu! A few loose waves cascading down my back with a sparkling tiara for good measure - and just like that, the magic happened. It felt magical!

I can't wait to tell you all about my adventures in Boston ballet land! Next stop: The Boston Ballet's famous "Nutcracker!" You know me, darling, it's all about getting in the holiday spirit with some gorgeous tutu magic, so stay tuned.

Keep it chic and twirl your worries away,

Emma xoxo
