Cleethorpes Calling: A Red Tutu Adventure!

Post Number: 5076

Hello my darling tutu-twirling friends! It’s Emma here, and guess what? Today’s post is going to be all about adventure and red tutus – a winning combination if you ask me!

After spending a lovely weekend at home in Derbyshire (oh, the hills are alive with the sound of my mama's homemade apple pie!), I hopped on the train, the rhythmic click-clack a perfect symphony for my ballerina heart. I was on my way to the seaside, heading for the charmingly old-fashioned seaside town of Cleethorpes.

Yes, you heard me right! Not the usual ballerina destination, perhaps, but let me tell you, Cleethorpes surprised me in the best way possible. Firstly, it’s the perfect seaside retreat – fresh air, charming little cafes, and an impressive stretch of golden sand just begging for twirls.

But what really stole my heart was the amazing beach hut scene. Rows upon rows of colourful huts, each one a little capsule of happiness, some decked out with the most incredible beach chic decor. Imagine my joy when I stumbled upon a beach hut that screamed "Emma!" It was painted the most glorious shade of pink (naturally) and adorned with fluffy pink cushions, striped throws and the most fabulous string lights!

I knew immediately – this was the perfect spot to unpack my brand-new, oh-so-gorgeous red tutu!

The afternoon sun was streaming down, the waves gently lapping at the shore, and my heart was overflowing with that joyous, twirling feeling only a tutu can bring. It's a strange thing – a red tutu can turn even the most ordinary seaside day into an extraordinary occasion.

I was mesmerized by the gentle rhythm of the waves. You know, I think water and ballet really complement each other. They’re both so graceful and fluid, their movements an interplay of strength and delicate beauty.

I couldn't resist – I had to share this perfect afternoon with the world. So I pulled out my phone and took some snaps – oh, I can't wait for you to see the pics on www.pink-tutu.com! They’re going to be added to my Instagram later this week – and you better believe I'm using all the seaside hashtags!

And you know what? While I was doing a few impromptu twirls, a little girl came running over. She looked up at me with big, curious eyes, clutching a little pink ballerina doll in her hand. She started to clap and bounce, a little too shy to talk, but her expression was priceless. She was entranced! And that's what I love about the ballet, its magic can capture hearts in the most unexpected places.

Maybe one day, that little girl will don a pink tutu and take to the stage. Or maybe she’ll fall in love with a different form of dance – perhaps jazz, salsa or Irish step! Whatever she chooses, I hope she knows it's never too late to follow her dreams, just like I have.

The sun began to set, painting the sky with glorious streaks of red and orange, a mirror to my red tutu. I took a final photo and gathered my belongings, my heart filled with a newfound love for this charming little seaside town.

The air was alive with the sounds of the nearby fairground – it was an irresistible pull for a little twirling adventure. After all, I can't resist a fairground, especially if it means indulging in a delicious warm toffee apple (yes, they're one of my guilty pleasures – the only sweets I can't resist!), watching some of the incredible rides spin and twirl in the dusky light, and perhaps even joining a spontaneous conga line with some of the other fairground visitors.

But of course, my journey was far from over! Next up, a visit to the beautiful Cleethorpes Wildlife Reserve, where I'm hoping to get some incredible shots of the beautiful wildlife and maybe even a sneaky peak at a seal!

You can bet I’ll have plenty to tell you about my Cleethorpes adventure tomorrow! Until then, happy twirling, and don’t forget to follow my blog every day on www.pink-tutu.com for all the latest ballerina adventures!

Lots of love,

Emma x
