Spalding: Tutu Time! π©°π
Good morning, darlings! βοΈ It's a brand new day, and as always, I'm feeling incredibly excited to share my adventures with you. I'm typing this from my favourite armchair at home in Derbyshire, but my mind is already on the tracks β literally β as today is the day I'm setting off for a lovely little town called Spalding in Lincolnshire. Why, you ask? Because it's going to be absolutely tutu-tastic!
I've been looking forward to this trip for weeks! Spalding has this fantastic summer ballet festival every year, and this year they're putting on a whole performance of Swan Lake in their gorgeous Victorian park. Can you imagine? Dancing swans, twinkling lights, the sound of a grand orchestra, and me β decked out in a fabulous European-style tutu that I've been saving just for this occasion! π¦’πΆ
My darling mum packed my bag with everything I could possibly need, including my trusty tutu bag and my emergency glitter kit (you never know when a little sparkle is needed!). Plus, a brand-new pink floral parasol - perfect for shading myself from the summer sun while I take in the glorious views on my train journey. And, of course, my favourite picnic basket brimming with strawberries and clotted cream, because it's simply not a day out without a treat. ππ
I can just picture myself now: sat on a park bench with a hot chocolate (because even though it's summer, it always seems to get chilly when you're sitting for a while) and taking in all the lovely sights and sounds of the park. The birds singing, the children laughing, the scent of freshly cut grass... Ah, summer! π³π¦
And of course, I'll be sharing all of it with you. You'll have to forgive me for a couple of blurry photos β it's a bit hard to get good angles when you're on the move β but I'll do my best to capture the beauty of the park and the magic of the performance for you all. πΈβ¨
Speaking of magic, remember I was telling you last week about those amazing black swans that have been hanging around in the local park? Well, they haven't left! I managed to get a sneaky little peek at them on my way out, and let me tell you β they are breathtaking. π¦’ π€ Itβs crazy that these incredible creatures exist right here in my own little corner of the world!
Before I hop on that train, though, I have a few quick updates from my little life:
πΈ Ballet Ballet Ballet! I managed to squeeze in an extra ballet class this week, and I am just feeling so on top of the world after it! It felt incredible, my feet just danced across the floor, and itβs reminded me how much I just love ballet. And who knows? Maybe, just maybe, Iβll finally master the fifth port de bras. Fingers crossed!
πΎ Wildlife Wonderland The little robin I've been feeding has finally got a mate! Sheβs a gorgeous thing, with a cute little red chest just like her partner. Every morning they sing their sweet songs while I'm sipping my tea, and it fills me with such happiness. Watching them flit about the garden always puts a smile on my face, and reminds me to appreciate the simple beauty around us.
π Tutu Transformation My latest tutu project is almost complete! I'm designing a brand-new custom tutu inspired by a watercolour painting I saw in a gallery last week. Itβs going to be truly magical, with layers of shimmering fabric and delicate pink accents. Iβm really hoping it's a perfect fit, because this little number might be my showstopper at the Spalding festival. β¨π€«
Okay, darling friends, Iβve gotta get going! Iβll be posting regular updates as I make my way to Spalding, and Iβm absolutely itching to share all of my tutu-filled adventures with you! π©°

Until next time, keep dancing and rememberβ¦ anything is possible when you wear a tutu! ππ
