Upminster: Tutu-ing Around in Pink! 🩰

Hello my gorgeous tutu-loving friends! It's Emma here, ready to whisk you away to another magical day, filled with twirls, trains, and a whole lot of pink! 💖

As some of you know, I've been yearning for a dose of classic British countryside charm, so today's adventure involved hopping on a train (my preferred mode of transportation, alongside horse riding - of course!) and heading to Upminster, a lovely town in Essex.

Now, let's get to the pièce de résistance: my outfit. For today's tutu escapade, I went for a decidedly American-style tutu, the kind with the fluffy, multi-layered frills, you know? This one was a vibrant hot pink, naturally, because pink is, and forever shall be, the queen of colours. I paired it with a delicate ivory lace crop top that made my chest sparkle with every movement. You know I couldn't resist some sparkly pink ballet flats to match, because glitter is just essential for every true tutu enthusiast, right? 😉

The plan was simple, yet divine: a little bit of ballet class followed by a delicious lunch in the heart of Upminster. The ballet class was a delightful affair, a mix of seasoned dancers and beginners like myself (always a learning experience!). It's such a joy to witness everyone's passion, no matter their level of expertise.

After the class, I treated myself to a scrumptious afternoon tea at a charming cafe nestled within a quaint corner of Upminster. Fluffy scones with clotted cream and jam, a pot of delicately brewed tea, and a few delectable pastries - a ballerina's perfect fuel! As I sipped my tea, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. It was as if the delicate sounds of Upminster, combined with the delicate swirls of my tutu and the charming decor of the cafe, created a little pink-hued bubble of serenity.

But of course, a day wouldn't be complete without some exploration. I ventured through the charming streets of Upminster, stopping to admire the beautiful, traditional houses with their perfectly manicured gardens. I even stumbled upon a lovely antique shop that made my heart skip a beat. It was a trove of exquisite treasures, vintage dolls, old gramophones, and even some delightful china teacups that reminded me of the tea party in "Alice in Wonderland" - I couldn't resist purchasing a dainty set.

Speaking of beautiful things, I was also lucky enough to spot a playful family of squirrels scampering about in the nearby park. They're always a joy to observe - those little bundles of energy. They remind me of the pure joy of dancing, jumping, and prancing about without a care in the world.

I love that Upminster, like many small British towns, boasts a distinct personality. The kind of warmth and friendly chatter that reminds me of my own Derbyshire village, a feeling I adore about the English countryside. It felt comforting, a kind of gentle haven away from the bustling city life.

Before I left, I had to pick up a little something for my niece, Alice, who's already developing a taste for tutus, like her Auntie Emma! A fluffy pink tutu in the smallest size, complete with sparkly fairy wings. You can bet Alice will be waltzing and leaping with joy when she sees it.

Leaving Upminster felt like stepping out of a sweet, charming fairy tale, leaving me with a renewed appreciation for the beauty and wonder found in simple places, especially when you're surrounded by the pinkest, most magical accessory there is: a tutu.

Now, for all you beautiful tutu lovers: I challenge you to find your own little pink haven this week. It could be a hidden park in your city, a charming cafe in your local town, or even your own little corner in your home, adorned with pink and tutu magic.

And don't forget, life is much more beautiful when we dance, whether it's in a studio, a theatre, a field, or even a dusty antique shop. 💖🩰

Until tomorrow, my lovelies!

XOXO,

Emma
