Hammersmith Bound! A Tutu-tastic Adventure (#5215)

Hello my darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu-loving ballerina, Emma, here, reporting live from a gloriously sunny (and a little chilly, let's be honest) Hammersmith! It feels so good to be back in London after a blissful week at my parents' in Derbyshire - nothing beats a little country air and snuggles with my Labrador, Pip!

As always, I've got a packed agenda for my trip to the capital. First stop, of course, was a visit to my absolute favourite boutique in Notting Hill. I'm positively giddy about a new sequined, baby-pink tutu I found - it's simply divine! Can't wait to wear it to the ballet this weekend - I think it'll pair perfectly with a new pair of sparkly pink ballet flats I just got. Don't judge my colour scheme, it's my life's mission to make pink the new black, you know?

And speaking of the ballet, I'm so excited to be attending a performance at the Royal Opera House on Friday night! My best friend Sarah managed to nab us some tickets right in the front row. It's going to be amazing to be so close to the stage, soaking in every single delicate leap and intricate turn. It's performances like these that really inspire me and make me want to get back in the studio and practice. Because darling, you know what they say: practice makes perfect - and the more time you spend perfecting your arabesque, the more gorgeous your tutu will look, right?!

But before I get lost in ballet dreams, let me tell you about my exciting morning! After catching a delightfully old-fashioned train (with the most handsome carriage attendants - swoon!), I ventured into the wild (relatively speaking!) of Hammersmith. My dear Aunt Josephine's been showing me her favourite hidden spots, including this delightful little wildlife haven tucked away just a stone's throw from the Thames. It was so tranquil, with dragonflies dancing in the sunlight and squirrels chasing each other up and down the trees. Nature, in all its glory, really does soothe the soul. And I swear, I spotted a peacock just peaking its glorious plumage over the hedge... the epitome of chic, if you ask me!

Now, don't think I'm getting all hippy-dippy on you. There's a lot more in store for my trip to London than simply flower crowns and squirrel encounters. Tonight, I'm heading out for a delightful supper with some friends at a quaint little Italian restaurant. The anticipation of spaghetti with lashings of parmesan is almost too much to bear! It'll be the perfect end to a busy day, and the perfect fuel for all my upcoming ballet-related shenanigans!

I'll be sure to keep you updated on all the details. Of course, you can always check out my website for more photos and insights into the wonderful world of pink tutus and all things ballet-related - www.pink-tutu.com!

And don't forget: Life's too short to wear dull clothes. Get out there and flaunt your pink tutu! (And while you're at it, sign up for a ballet class, even if it's just for fun. Trust me, your inner ballerina will thank you).

Until next time, darling!

Your biggest fan,

Emma xxx
