Hornchurch Calling! 🩰💖

Hello darlings! It's Emma here, your resident tutu enthusiast, and today's post is number 5263 – I swear, I'm starting to lose count! Anyway, where were we? Oh yes, I'm back from a fabulous little jaunt to Hornchurch. It was so much fun, you guys will not believe it!

Now, some of you might think that heading to the suburbs of London is a bit, well, mundane. But not for me! Especially when I'm on a mission to share the joy of dance and, of course, promote the delightful world of the pink tutu!

I travelled down in style, naturally – you know, me, I couldn't just get on a boring old train! I hired a lovely black carriage, drawn by a pair of dappled grey horses. The scenery whizzed by in a blur of fields and farms – so much green! Makes me think of those gorgeous emerald tutus I saw at the Covent Garden Gala… dreams

Anyway, arriving in Hornchurch, I was greeted by the cutest little train station ever! I swear, they probably don’t get a huge influx of pink tutu-clad visitors, but I felt absolutely fabulous strutting across the cobblestones – I really do have the best street-style confidence, if I do say so myself.

My first stop was, of course, the local ballet school. The school itself was this gorgeous little converted house with windows adorned with flower boxes brimming with the most exquisite pink petunias. (See, I told you, the universe works in mysterious and wonderfully pink ways!)

The class was full of the cutest little cherubs! So excited to watch them whirl and pirouette, some with perfect posture, some with all the grace of a, well, let's just say a playful puppy! But darling, that's what ballet is all about: exploring and discovering, right? I really must incorporate some of these youngsters into my next performance - just imagine! Imagine a beautiful, choreographed sequence of tiny tots and then poof suddenly I emerge, twirling and soaring. It would be just chef’s kiss perfect.

Anyway, after the ballet class, I decided to indulge in a little retail therapy. I couldn’t leave without finding a few more fabulous tutus, and lucky for me, I found a quaint little shop filled with dance wear. I ended up purchasing a fluffy, pastel pink tulle tutu that looked like it had been dipped in cotton candy, absolutely gorgeous! Can't wait to model it for my next "Pink Tutu of the Day" Instagram post – be sure to follow me at @PinkTutuEmma, darling! You won’t regret it, trust me.

And, you know, it's not just about ballet and tutus, though they are truly life’s greatest joys, of course! Hornchurch has this incredible wildlife park just a little further down the road. You should have seen the beautiful white peacocks strutting around like royalty, just as majestic and elegant as a prima ballerina, truly. I spent an afternoon admiring the fauna - it was incredibly peaceful and just what I needed to refocus and relax my creative mind.

So there you have it, my darling friends! A day in the beautiful town of Hornchurch. This little trip was the perfect combination of tutus, wildlife, and fabulousness – exactly what I live for! Remember, no matter where you are, don't be afraid to embrace the joy of dance, and yes, absolutely try that pink tutu on! You might just be surprised how liberating it is.

Until next time, darlings! Keep dancing, keep shining, and never stop dreaming. And most importantly, remember to live in pink – it truly is the best colour!

XOXO, Emma
