Rochester Calling!

Post Number 5267

Oh darling, do you have any idea how exciting it's been getting to Rochester these past few days?! A brand new tutu for this outing - oh my word, it's pink and sparkly, just the perfect shade of rose to match the blush I'm wearing. Did I tell you? It's got a little tulle cloud to keep it from dragging on the ground too, the little added touch you just know the ladies at [Name of Shop] would give you - they’re angels with needles and tulle. They did this incredible embellishment - I’m not going to spoil the surprise, but I'm going to Instagram a sneaky peek later! You’ve got to get a glimpse at it, darling!

As I was saying, it's been such an exciting few days - I love arriving in a new place. Today we walked along the river by the castle, with the setting sun glowing a soft gold on the water. So, I took out my tutu and, as is always the way when a new place inspires me, I just had to have a twirl. Honestly, the locals must have thought I was completely bonkers, but let me tell you, it felt divine. Honestly, a little tutu twirl can cure everything - I do truly believe that!

So, how did I get to Rochester? Now you know my thing - a train journey of course! There's nothing quite like sipping on a cup of tea (black, no milk of course!), while watching the English countryside speed past the windows. And oh, it's lovely when there's a cheeky little squirrel popping its head out of a tree right next to the tracks, like they’re coming to say hello, isn’t it? Sometimes when I see the deer I wave - I’m sure they love to see the pink tutu too! I feel very much in my element doing train journeys.

Anyway, I'm so excited because we're seeing a show at The Marlowe Theatre tonight! They are performing [insert ballet] - oh I can’t even remember, I'm so excited I can't focus properly! Apparently, it's all about a young ballerina who falls in love with a… [something about ballet or the plot].. but that's all I know right now! Honestly, how amazing do those choreographers make it look?! My new tutu will be the perfect outfit for this, it's like an invitation to dance - who can resist a twirl when they see such a stunning tutu?!

Oh my! You can tell I love ballet, it’s part of my lifeblood. I even like a spot of ballet street. Remember that fabulous piece I saw by [mention ballet choreographer or company] last year in Brighton? Oh, it was utterly enchanting! Just pure elegance and strength with every single move - a ballet dancer just captivates me in a way no one else ever could. It really brings out something incredible within you, you can really feel the magic in those steps and poses. I adore seeing the expressions too. My heart feels so full watching dancers at the theatre. They give me that sparkle.

Before we go to the theatre, I'm treating myself to an afternoon tea at [tea room or hotel]. Of course, the pink theme continues - the scones are sprinkled with pink sugar crystals and there are dainty cakes in various shades of pink and peach. It's all utterly dreamy, I promise you. Sometimes the little details in life just really bring a little happiness, don't they?

This evening's going to be perfect, so I better run and get ready. My dress has to be the perfect pink! Do you want to see a little snap of the outfit when I’m done? You know I will, though, darling, we all love a bit of pink and sparkle! Do let me know if you are enjoying the blog so far, I'd love to know what you’re loving, darling! I hope I can inspire you all to put on a tutu - who knows what you’ll discover?!

I’m going to sign off for today, until tomorrow darling. Be happy and spread that sparkle, and don’t forget - wear pink, darling!

Lots of love,

Emma
