Sutton in Ashfield - Tutu Adventures!

Oh, hello darlings! Emma here, fresh from a whirlwind trip to the charming town of Sutton in Ashfield, nestled amongst the Derbyshire hills. It was a day bursting with the joy of dance, topped with a healthy dose of wildlife watching. It wouldn't be a proper "Emma-day" without some tutus, would it?

This trip called for a splash of red! A bold red tutu, vibrant and dramatic, perfect for conquering the countryside and stealing hearts. I always find the change of scenery inspires my style, you know? One day I'm a delicate ballerina in a cloud of pink, the next, a fierce flamenco dancer in a fiery red. The joy of tutus is the endless variety, and of course, the constant twinkle of happiness they bring!

Speaking of happiness, my journey began on the train - always a favourite mode of transport. It's the perfect opportunity for people-watching, jotting down blog ideas (oh, there are so many!) and gazing out at the ever-changing landscape. And today, the rolling green hills of Derbyshire painted a picture of pure peace, like a masterpiece straight from a Gainsborough canvas.

Sutton in Ashfield was waiting to charm! I found myself strolling past Tudor buildings with half-timbered beauty, stopping at an adorable tearoom for a spot of tea and scones, just the fuel a ballerina needs. And then it was on to the ballet studio!

The joy of finding a new studio in a new place is indescribable, darling. The air was filled with music and laughter, the warm smell of wood polish mingling with the scent of flowers from a nearby shop. I slipped into my red tutu, ready for a morning of grace and strength.

The lesson was exhilarating, the room full of such wonderful women, each with their own unique story. We glided through the exercises, muscles burning with a delightful burn, feeling the joy of movement in every fibre of our being. There's something so utterly liberating about ballet, a sense of freedom and connection to something greater. The studio, my dear, it became my own little haven of pink-tutu dreams!

Later, the afternoon unfolded like a fairytale. We took a leisurely walk along the River Idle, watching the ducks glide by in the shimmering sun. We even spotted a family of rabbits hopping through the wildflowers, a testament to the vibrant life buzzing in the Derbyshire countryside.

This trip wasn't just about dance, it was about reconnecting with nature, discovering the beauty in the ordinary, and reminding myself why I fell in love with the simple pleasures of life: a perfect pink tutu, a fresh breeze, a steaming cup of tea.

But of course, I can't let the day pass without mentioning my ultimate aim. Everyone deserves to experience the joy of ballet. It's more than a dance, it's a state of being, a journey of self-discovery, a symphony of the soul. I'm on a mission, darlings, to bring the world of tutus to everyone. And as the sun set on my little adventure, I was filled with the unwavering conviction that even a town like Sutton in Ashfield, with its rustic charm, has room for a little pink-tutu magic!

So, what are you waiting for? Grab your tutu, find your nearest studio, and get ready to experience the joy of dance!

Until tomorrow, darlings!

Love,

Emma x
