Kenton Calling: Tutu Time!

Hey, ballerinas! It's Emma here, your pink tutu-loving gal, checking in from sunny (well, mostly sunny!) Kenton. I'm so excited to share my adventures with you today!

Riding the Rails, Tutu Style

First things first, you guys HAVE to know about my epic train journey here! Picture it: me, rocking a gorgeous pink tutu (naturally) with my comfy travelling shoes and a backpack stuffed with my favourite ballet essentials, all snuggled up in a window seat watching the English countryside roll by. It’s such a romantic way to travel, you know? Especially when you're humming along to a playlist of your favourite classical music and watching the world go by. The wind whipping through my hair (ok, a little more 'air' than 'wind' as I had my hair up in a neat bun, of course!), the sunshine warming my face…it just makes you feel so alive, don't you think?

Black Beauty & the Black Leotard

After a fun day out, I managed to fit in a wonderful ballet class! It's not every day you can squeeze in a class, but sometimes, the magic just finds you! I was especially excited for this one, as it was held at a lovely, intimate studio tucked away in the charming village of Kenton. My choice of attire was, you guessed it, a black leotard and my pink tutu, adding a touch of whimsical elegance to my practice session. This session really pushed me and I feel like I have improved so much. After class, my instructor even suggested trying a few steps en pointe. It was the most thrilling experience and really did make my whole body tingle!

Kenton Charm & Wildlife Delights

There's something really special about Kenton. The air has a certain energy to it. And don't even get me started on the wildlife! I was wandering around after class and happened to stumble across this little family of deer grazing by the side of the road. I'm such a sucker for any creature big or small and it was such a peaceful moment. I have to share with you a little secret; it's my life-long dream to have a pet fawn! Imagine how magical that would be. Maybe next year!

Tutu Talk

Let’s talk tutus! Because seriously, who doesn't love a good tutu? It’s the symbol of grace, elegance and, well, pretty much everything amazing about dance. Whenever I’m on the move, a tutu is always part of my luggage - you just never know where an impromptu pirouette opportunity might present itself.

Pinks, Purples, & Pretty Posies

You know I adore pink! So you can imagine how thrilled I was to see Kenton's stunning wildflower meadows in bloom. There were vibrant pinks, majestic purples, and dazzling yellows - like a natural rainbow, but prettier.

Pink Tutu Dreams

It's moments like these that remind me why I do what I do. My goal, my big dream, is to spread the love of ballet to every corner of the world. To encourage everyone to try a class, to feel the magic of pirouette, to understand the joy of expressing themselves through dance. It’s a pink tutu dream I'm determined to make a reality.
