Bicester Bound! 🩰🌸

Post 5382: The Tutu Travels Continue

Hello darlings! Emma here, writing to you live from my very pink train carriage, hurtling towards the gorgeous town of Bicester! It’s a glorious Tuesday morning and the sun is shining. Perfect weather for a ballet adventure, wouldn’t you say?

Today’s ensemble? Well, of course, it's all about the tutu! This little number is a vintage find, bought at a delightful shop tucked away in Derbyshire – a real hidden gem, much like the beautiful little towns I love to explore. It's a dusty pink, soft as a feather, and features layers and layers of tulle that make it float like a dream. To top it off, a vibrant magenta ribbon ties it all together – just a touch of sass for this sassy little ballerina! 😉

Now, you know I wouldn't be caught dead (or, rather, pink-clad!) without a splash of colour. So, I've paired this darling tutu with a bright lavender top and my trusty pair of ballet pumps – gotta stay comfy when you're travelling by train, don't you think? I also threw in a chic little handbag – pink, obviously – filled with essentials like a notebook for scribbling down ideas, a compact mirror for a quick touch-up, and of course, my favourite pink lip balm. Never leave home without it, girls! 💋

But enough about my outfit! I’m practically bursting with excitement about today’s adventure. I’m heading to Bicester for the day, not just for a spot of retail therapy (although, let's be honest, that's always a bonus), but for something truly special: a ballet masterclass at the gorgeous Bicester Ballet Academy! This one is extra special, because it's hosted by the legendary Dame Alicia Cunningham. I’ve admired her work for years and can’t wait to soak up all the wisdom she’s going to share!

Oh, did I mention there's a performance afterwards? A full-blown, theatrical extravaganza showcasing some of the best young talent from Bicester! I’m hoping to snag a glimpse of some potential future stars. Maybe I’ll even find the next darling to grace the stage at the Royal Opera House. Who knows, right?

But I digress. Let's get back to the magic of today!

Imagine the thrill: getting to witness incredible talent, while learning from one of the greats, all in a town I've never been to before. How perfectly splendid is that? And all thanks to the wondrous world of ballet!

Don't get me wrong, I love a good spot of theatre as much as the next gal. But there’s something special about watching dancers move, express emotions, tell stories through their bodies. It’s just so beautiful, so pure, and truly, it takes you to another world. It’s magical, simply magical.

And I, as you know, am all about spreading the magic! So, as I travel, I spread my message: put on a pink tutu and embrace the grace and elegance that ballet brings. It's a beautiful form of art that brings joy, confidence, and expression to your life, even if you're not on the stage. It’s not just about leaps and pirouettes, you know. It’s about pushing yourself, challenging yourself, and feeling empowered.

Now, some of you might be saying: "Emma, darling, I wouldn't be caught dead in a tutu!" And to you I say: just give it a try! You might surprise yourself. Wear it to the park, wear it to the shops, wear it while making your morning coffee - just put on a pink tutu and embrace your inner ballerina! I promise, it will brighten your day and spread a little joy, just like it does for me. 😉

I know what you're thinking – it’s a bit too much! But come on, life is for experimenting, and sometimes the most unexpected things turn out to be the most beautiful! Trust me, I've made this my motto. Every day is a new opportunity to embrace something new and wonderful – from tutus to trains, wildlife watching, and everything in between.

Now, where was I? Oh yes, Bicester! I can practically see the academy building from here, nestled in the heart of this charming town. The perfect backdrop for my ballet escapade! I can already picture myself on stage, or better yet, out on a crisp autumn walk in the park after a delicious afternoon tea – all while wearing a vibrant pink tutu!

There you have it – another day in the life of Emma! I hope this has inspired you to embrace your inner ballerina, travel more often, and to find magic in the ordinary!

Until next time, remember, every day is an opportunity to wear a pink tutu! 💋

Lots of love,

Emma xoxo
