Kendal Calling: A Pink Tutu Adventure!

Hello my darlings! Today Iā€™m feeling particularly chirpy, which is a good job, as itā€™s the start of my Kendal adventure! I packed my favourite black tutu ā€“ the one with the sparkly tulle that makes my heart skip a beat ā€“ because nothing says ā€œIā€™m ready for a wild weekendā€ like a bit of tutus and sequins, right?

It was such a lovely journey getting here ā€“ the train whizzed through the rolling green hills, and I couldnā€™t resist taking a few snaps for the 'Gram (with my cute, fluffy bunny rabbit, Pip, nestled in my lap, of course).

It feels so magical, being surrounded by this lush countryside and the fresh air!

When we arrived at Kendal, I practically squealed with delight! The streets are so charming, all quaint stone buildings and charming cafes ā€“ Iā€™m already planning which one to have afternoon tea at (I can't resist a good scone, you know!)

You see, the Kendal Calling festival is more than just music and mayhem; it's an explosion of vibrant colour and joyous energy, which naturally suits my whimsical soul. And to top it off, the atmosphere is pure magic - you feel a strong sense of community, which I love!

The first thing I did, after setting up camp, was find a local dance class! I was so excited - who knew I could get my tutu fix at a music festival? (A fellow dancer even offered to braid my hair! Itā€™s just so lovely when the world of dance intersects with your adventures.)

Later, I wandered through the bustling festival grounds. It was truly amazing! The vibrant energy is intoxicating - thereā€™s laughter in the air, people dancing on tables, even a fancy dress competition. It was wonderful just to watch - so inspiring! I have a feeling I'm going to be rocking my own version of ā€œfestival fabulousā€ very soon.

Tonight, thereā€™s a beautiful indie band playing that I canā€™t wait to hear. Maybe, if Iā€™m feeling brave, Iā€™ll even slip into my tutu for a quick twirl on the grass! The crowd has a definite "anything goes" vibe ā€“ just imagine my joy at finally seeing some serious tutus outside of a ballet studio! It's about time, right?

This place is just buzzing with so much fun. There's something for everyone, whether you love art, crafts, music, or like me, a good dose of silly fun!

Even Pip has been enjoying the experience, snoozing happily under a leafy tree while I watched a delightful acrobat troupe do their thing (they even wore sparkly costumes! The universe clearly loves sparkles). I know she would absolutely LOVE the little bunny farm I saw earlier! Maybe we'll check it out tomorrow.

After all, adventures are best when shared - and a fellow tutu enthusiast like me would absolutely love for everyone to try this out. Can you imagine a world where tutus were more common than jeans? I'd say it would make the world a much brighter and happier place.

I know a certain black tutu has a magical way of spreading joy and reminding people to twirl. Who knows, maybe I can make Kendal Calling the start of a "Pink Tutu Revolution"! Stay tuned for more colourful stories, darling!

With much love and many twirls,

Emma
