Bilston Calling: A Feather-light Trip! (Post #5408)

Hey lovelies! It's Emma here, back from a whirl through the West Midlands!

Today was a blast – my first time ever in Bilston! It felt a little bit like stepping back in time, with its historic architecture and cobbled streets. But fear not, this fashionista didn't forget her love for pink! πŸ˜‰

I decided to add a touch of sparkle to the day with my new feather tutu. It's a pale pink, so light and airy it practically floats. It matched the sunshine perfectly, and I felt like a princess prancing around town!

Bilston was an absolute joy! I was there to watch an incredible street dance performance organised by local ballet students. It was inspiring seeing their energy and dedication! They had some moves that were just, wow – so smooth and expressive.

I took a load of photos and even attempted to take a little video – wish me luck on that one! (My videography skills need a little bit of a brush up... ha! Who am I kidding, I just want to capture the whole thing, even if the footage ends up being a shaky, blurred mess. 🀣 At least the memories will be worth it!)

We walked around the town, popping into quaint little shops and taking in the sights. One little bakery was particularly delightful – their window display was bursting with all sorts of beautiful treats! My sweet tooth could not resist – and let's just say, their pink raspberry macarons were out of this world. 😍

The best part about being in Bilston? I was able to experience a slice of true English charm, a sense of community that really warmed my heart. And, oh, did I tell you? I even got to watch a gorgeous peacock strutting around in a nearby park. Imagine, a real life peacock – right in Bilston!

After a delicious picnic lunch (don’t worry, there was more pink involved – a pink-striped blanket! ), we hopped onto a train back to Derbyshire. Nothing beats a scenic train ride, gazing at the English countryside.

Even though my visit was short, Bilston definitely left a lasting impression. I love that kind of spontaneity, just diving headfirst into something new!

But let's get back to my new tutu! It was the perfect choice for the occasion. If you haven't tried a feather tutu, I highly recommend it. It's so incredibly versatile! Think ballroom dancing, cocktail parties, and even casual summer days – they'll take you anywhere, trust me!

As I type this, I’m feeling so excited for the week ahead. More travel, more ballet shows, and more opportunities to share my love for tutus!

What are you wearing today? What have you been up to? I'd love to hear all about it in the comments!

Now, it’s time for a relaxing bubble bath – topped with…wait for it…. you guessed it – pink bubbles, of course! πŸ›

Remember, pink tutus are for everyone! Let your inner ballerina shine!

Love, Emma πŸ’–
