Worcester Wondering: Post 5472

Oh, hello darlings! It’s your girl Emma, back with another installment of your favourite pink-tutu fuelled adventure. Today we're venturing to the charming city of Worcester! I arrived last night on a romantic steam train journey. Seriously, what’s more magical than a billowing plume of smoke and a clattering carriage carrying you across the beautiful British countryside? Just imagine all those fairy tales coming to life as you watch the changing landscapes zoom by. Swoon!

Anyway, let's talk fashion. My travelling ensemble? Cue dramatic reveal. It’s the pinkest tutu imaginable – it literally glows with every flick of the train carriage’s lights. It's covered in sparkly hearts and tiny, iridescent butterflies and is topped with a feathered pink feather boa - just a touch of that fabulous, whimsical glamour. The train guard kept on glancing back at me with a look of sheer astonishment (a delightful look!) I have to admit, there’s nothing like strutting around in your finest tutus. It makes every mundane moment feel a bit like a scene from The Nutcracker. And it really brings the sparkle to any journey.

And oh, my darling friends, guess what I brought to this fabulous, fairytale getaway? You guessed it… a little surprise! A whole bagful of pink tutus!. Because everyone should feel the magic, right? You never know where that sparkle might come from - maybe it'll be an impromptu picnic at the park, a leisurely shopping trip with your bestie, or perhaps you'll find yourself swaying with a crowd of giggling fairies (like me!)

Right, so Worcester. This morning, I spent the morning basking in the stunning sights and smells of Worcester's charming city centre, my little pink tutu a whirl of color amidst the quaint Tudor buildings. I swear, there is just a certain energy that emanates from such old places! Imagine all the stories they've witnessed over the centuries. It makes me want to just sit down, close my eyes and just...feel it!

A quick jaunt later, I popped into Worcester Cathedral – oh my! I never knew a building could be so serene and yet so bursting with life. I’m not even talking about the fabulous, centuries-old stained glass – though those definitely added an air of wonder. No, the energy just flowed out of every single stone – a hushed awe. A touch of ancient magic. And it just resonated so deeply with me - especially because it's just a little like those feeling I get when I twirl under the stage lights. You know what I mean? Those magic moments?

Oh, speaking of stage lights…

Tonight is the main event! The Ballet Russes have finally made their way to Worcester after what felt like an eternity! I've got the most magnificent pink sequined gown (perfect for all those flashbulbs) waiting for me at my darling little guest house! My goodness, those dancers are a force of nature, don't you think? So much grace and passion and emotion. I find myself holding my breath every time they leap or twirl, just enthralled by their brilliance and power. The stories they tell just with the movements of their bodies. A ballet really is like an elaborate storybook in motion, and these performers… they are the best storytellers I’ve ever met. (Ok, I might be a tiny bit biased – you know how much I love the ballet).

Tomorrow, we are off on another grand adventure! (It involves horseback riding and a lot of picnics. Did I mention there’s going to be a pink tutu competition? More about that later. ). For now, let’s get ready for some Worcester Ballet! See you all on the other side

Much love and happy tutus!
