Folkestone Fun in a Fuschia Tutu!

Post number 5553

Hello lovelies! It's Emma here, fresh from a whirlwind trip to the seaside town of Folkestone. I don't think I've ever had such a delightful time in my life! The weather was gorgeous, the people were lovely, and the whole vibe of the place was so vibrant and positive โ€“ a bit like my own personal style, wouldn't you say? ๐Ÿ˜‰

For my trip, I decided to go with a bold, bright fuschia tutu โ€“ it's a real show-stopper and the perfect colour for making a statement. Imagine this: seagulls screeching overhead, the sound of waves crashing on the shore, and a touch of pink, whimsical tulle dancing in the breeze! Talk about a magical combo. I've actually had a few people comment that it "added a bit of sparkle" to the town - which I think is absolutely wonderful.

Folkestone was the perfect place to escape the stresses of daily life. I love how it blends its historical charm with a trendy, contemporary atmosphere. Walking along the harbour front, I felt like I was stepping out of a postcard โ€“ so picture-perfect!

Adventures in a Tutu:

My Folkestone adventures were a true feast for the senses! Let's see, what did I do?

  • A little Ballet Break: Well, naturally, I couldn't visit a new place without incorporating a bit of ballet into the itinerary. There was this darling little studio on a side street with a wonderful instructor. We had a fun class, with plenty of pirouettes, jetรฉ and a few new stretches that really limbered me up! They even offered tea and cake afterwards โ€“ my favourite! I wore my tutu to the class, naturally!
  • Charming the Locals: You know how much I love horses. Well, during my visit, I took a beautiful horse-drawn carriage ride along the beach. The sea air, the gentle clip-clop of the horse's hooves, and the friendly local tour guide - it was pure bliss. Plus, it was the perfect opportunity for a tutu-tastic photo shoot, of course. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  • Exploring the Artistic Side: Folkestone's art scene is definitely a highlight! There are so many street art murals around the town, it's like an open-air gallery. I fell in love with them all, with the colours, the designs, the message. It really sparked my own artistic side. I even saw some live art performances down by the harbour โ€“ and did you know? One of the performers wore a pink tutu. Imagine my joy!
  • Wildlife Wanderings: Okay, this was a bit of a spontaneous adventure. But after my ballet class, I stumbled across a little bird sanctuary. Who could resist fluffy chicks and graceful swans, right? I had such a delightful time observing them - all with my trusty camera in hand for some lovely memories!

Making Friends with a Folkestone Fairy:

The highlight of my entire trip? Meeting a local named Lily. This girl was just absolutely lovely, and so wonderfully enthusiastic about everything! I swear, she made Folkestone feel even more enchanting. I could spend hours listening to her talk about her adventures โ€“ from rockpooling for hermit crabs on the beach to her love of vintage fashion, with her favourite colour? You guessed it! Pink. ๐Ÿ˜‰ She said, and I quote, "You just make everything seem a bit more fun in a pink tutu!". We even took a little walk in our matching outfits, which was the ultimate pink-tutu fun.

Bringing the Pink Tutu Back Home:

As I board the train home from Folkestone, I feel that I'm leaving not just a charming little seaside town, but also a little piece of my heart there. It was the perfect getaway โ€“ inspiring, joyful, and bursting with character. I've come home with some truly magical memories, and I can't wait to share them all on my little pink-tutu blog!

One thing I learned is that happiness is everywhere, you just need to open your eyes and look for it โ€“ especially when youโ€™re sporting a bright, bold pink tutu! And you know, maybe Folkestoneโ€™s magic was partly due to the colour pink โ€“ after all, thereโ€™s just something about the colour, isn't there? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Outfit Diary: Of course, I must tell you about my outfit choices for this fun-filled trip.

  • Day 1: A tutu perfect look: My beloved fuschia tutu, paired with a crisp white ballet shirt, bright pink ballet pumps, and a white canvas tote bag adorned with pastel floral details โ€“ a perfect blend of feminine and whimsical! I kept it chic and breezy!
  • Day 2: Beach Babe Chic: I decided to switch things up and wear a gorgeous vintage, coral pink sun dress. It had pretty embroidery detailing, flowy material and tied up beautifully. I paired it with some chunky sandals, a straw hat, and my pink oversized sunglasses. Perfect for exploring!
  • Day 3: Artistic Adventure: For this day I decided on a comfortable, but vibrant look โ€“ a simple but stylish white sleeveless top, black flared jeans (they danced beautifully!) and a comfy pair of pink Converse.

And the highlight? It all had to match with the little "Pink Tutu" embroidery on my handbag - which, by the way, Lily insisted was the perfect souvenir from her favourite new friend!

Final Thoughts: This trip reminded me that even the smallest journeys can be filled with adventures and memories. Remember, even a pink tutu can add a touch of magic to any day. I'm already planning my next exciting adventure! Stay tuned!

Don't forget to tell me about your week in the comments section. What did you wear? What exciting adventures did you have?

Love and Tutuโ€™s, Emma xxx
