Stretford, Sweet Stretford! 🩰

Oh my darling tutu lovers,

Greetings from Stretford! This lovely little town in Greater Manchester has stolen my heart. It’s like a secret haven for pink-loving, tutu-wearing gals like myself. I’ve had such a fantastic time here – exploring the charming streets, feeling the pulse of the vibrant local ballet scene, and of course, getting my tutu twirls on!

You see, Stretford is one of those places that feels like a hidden gem. A blend of Victorian elegance with a dash of modern dynamism, it's like a dream come true for a ballerina who loves history and culture. As soon as I stepped out of the train station (I can't get enough of train journeys! They offer such great views and are so much more exciting than driving), I felt an instant connection to this beautiful town.

Of course, no trip would be complete without some tutu action! Now, I know what you're thinking, "Emma, you wore a yellow tutu in Stretford?!" You're right, darling, I did. It’s my latest, slight deviation from the usual pink palette, and boy, did it make a statement. People stopped me in the street, asking about my outfit and gushing about the bold colour choice! Honestly, I think it made everyone smile – spreading a little bit of sunshine wherever I went.

We walked through the bustling Market Street, my bright yellow tutu practically bouncing in rhythm with my happy heart. The quaint little shops and colourful stalls were full of charm, with artisan crafts and friendly faces greeting me at every corner. And don't even get me started on the vintage treasures I discovered!

Now, you all know that I adore ballet in all its forms – theatre, street performances, and, of course, class! And Stretford has not disappointed. The town is home to The Lowry – a vibrant arts centre filled with world-class performances. I watched the most breathtaking ballet on Wednesday night, set against a stunning backdrop of the Manchester skyline.

I almost missed it because, you see, I had planned on spending the afternoon riding through the lovely English countryside on horseback! Now, you wouldn't believe how well-suited a pink tutu is for horseback riding! I can’t go anywhere without one, not even on horseback in a picturesque setting, as idyllic as this is. It’s just, the tutu is to my life, you know, what a crown is to a queen!

But, it just so happens that the stables weren't that far from the arts centre! That gave me just enough time to squeeze in a visit to the amazing ‘Wild Life at the Lowry' exhibit. My fellow animal lovers, I must tell you, this display is a true gem. Seeing all these beautiful animals and learning about their world left me feeling filled with wonder and a deep respect for our furry, feathered, and scaly friends.

As I write this, sitting in a quaint little café in Stretford, sipping on a delicate lavender tea, a smile fills my face. This town has brought out the child within me, inspiring me to dance, explore, and truly cherish every moment. Stretford, you've become my new haven for everything tutu-worthy, a perfect reminder to embrace the extraordinary in every day! I’m already dreaming of my next visit.

Until then, my darling tutu-lovers, go out and dance your heart out! Don't be afraid to embrace colour, to twirl with confidence, and to let your inner ballerina shine!

P.S. Don’t forget, we’re always trying to make the world a more colourful place one pink tutu at a time, so get your tutu out, darling!

Until tomorrow,

Emma 💕
