Solihull Calling: Tutu Tales from the Midlands! 🩰

Hello, my dearest tutu-lovers! Emma here, back from a whirlwind trip to Solihull! It was such a fabulously vibrant adventure, I just had to share it with you. Now, hold on to your tutus, darlings, because this post is going to be a whirlwind of pink, passion, and… ballet, of course! 😉

Firstly, let's talk tutus! I wore my brand new European-style tutu for this jaunt. Oh, you wouldn't believe the gorgeous detailing! It's a fluffy explosion of tulle with delicate layers, a real Parisian chic vibe, if you know what I mean! I paired it with a dusky pink cashmere jumper – I simply can’t resist a touch of pink – and my trusty ballet flats.

Solihull, for those of you not in the know, is a lovely town just outside of Birmingham, right in the heart of the Midlands. And what’s better than exploring a new town with a beautiful tutu, you ask? Well, why not make it even better with a ballet class?

So off I went, bright and early, to the delightful Solihull Ballet School. The staff was so welcoming, I instantly felt at home! The studio was beautiful – warm wood floor, huge mirrors, a wall full of trophies. It felt very "Nutcracker," all swirling magic and graceful movements.

The class was fantastic – we worked on a classical piece, and it was such a treat to be challenged again by a different instructor. I learnt some fantastic new moves! And best of all, I discovered that they use pink ballet shoes! Talk about a girl after my own heart! 🩰💕

After a quick pit-stop for a slice of homemade Victoria sponge cake (with a generous dollop of cream, of course!), I headed off to the theatre for a delightful performance of "The Sleeping Beauty." This time, it was my tutu turn on the stage! The whole audience loved my sparkly pink ensemble. I just felt so happy, spreading a little bit of joy and ballerina magic, all thanks to the most fantastic outfit!

And speaking of spreading the joy, did I tell you about my lovely train journey? I find there's something so magical about travelling by train. I always find it fascinating to meet new people and have little chats about ballet, especially with people who’ve never had a tutu on! The gentleman I chatted with, bless his heart, was enthralled by my story and promised to introduce his niece to the beautiful world of ballet. Maybe one day, she’ll be wearing a tutu of her own!

Speaking of which, how about we go out there and make ballet the new cool thing? Everyone deserves to feel the joy of pirouette! I truly believe in the power of dance to uplift the soul.

But enough about my adventures in Solihull!

Next week, I’ll be going on a wild expedition in the Derbyshire countryside. Imagine… fields of wildflowers, a gentle breeze, and the beautiful green landscape as far as the eye can see! Of course, I'll be bringing my trusty camera to capture the wildlife… and the stunning sunset views! And, who knows? I might even be wearing my new white tutu! Stay tuned for more tutu tales from Derbyshire!

Until then, keep twirling!

Lots of love, Emma
