Wembley Wonderland: A Tutu Tale
Hello darlings! Emma here, back from a whirlwind trip to the big smoke! I just had to share this little slice of tutu-licious heaven with you all, especially since this trip was so pink-tastic!
So, picture it: me, in my darlingest pink tutu, of course (it cost a fortune, but darling, worth it!), hurtling towards London on a shiny new train. I can't resist the allure of a train journey, can you? It just feels so elegant to me. Maybe it's because it's so quintessentially British. A touch of countryside chic, I daresay.
But, back to the big smoke! I was in Wembley for the most divine ballet performance - "Swan Lake," you know, the classic. Oh, darling, you've got to see it, the dancers were incredible! I even took my notebook to sketch some of their fabulous moves. Iâve got quite the collection of those now - one day Iâll create an exhibition⌠who knows?
I just adore the grace and elegance of ballet, you know. Every single dancer makes it look so effortless, but I know, darling, how much hard work goes into it. And thatâs just the stage stuff! Beforehand, hours in the studio practicing, perfecting every leap, every twirl⌠oh, how I wish I could dance like that! I love trying, and I go to class as often as I can - after all, it's the only thing that comes close to a tutus in bringing a bit of joy into my life, right?
But donât worry, you donât need to be a ballerina to enjoy ballet. Thatâs why I love ballet street so much. Have you ever seen dancers performing right on the street? Incredible! You just need the courage to let yourself loose and twirl.
Anyway, back to the "Swan Lake" - absolutely enchanting! The whole atmosphere of the performance was incredible! I felt like I was floating through the clouds. I think thatâs probably why pink was the perfect choice for the day! Itâs so whimsical, just like a cloud in the sky. Pink is always a good choice. Just trust me, you lovely lot, wear more pink! It makes everything so much more fun and elegant. Maybe even a bit cheeky. Just think - pink is even what Flamingos wear!
Then there was this gorgeous tutu they had in the programme for the performance. Such a stunning design, it even inspired a new sketch for my journal! Maybe I should use it for my next ballet inspired dress? I do love dressing up and ballet always gets my creative juices flowing. Sometimes I can barely tell where ballet inspiration ends and pink-tutu inspiration starts! It's all a delightful blur of creativity and twirls!
Of course, no trip to London is complete without a bit of retail therapy, is it, darlings? The pink tutus are so dreamy there. They all just scream âWear me!â, donât you think? Well, as a dutiful ballet blogger, I must admit I could not resist temptation! I bought the most darling tutu from a lovely little shop I found tucked away in Covent Garden, and I couldn't wait to put it on. It felt so decadent and magical! I'm dreaming of my next outing, darling. This is one tutu that I will be rocking for ages. I just love the way it makes me feel â like a princess, maybe even a ballet queen! It truly embodies my whole âtutu philosophyâ - be bold, be yourself and always embrace pink!
Oh, and letâs not forget about my love of wildlife. Even a whirlwind trip to London was brightened by my trip to Regents Park! I had to check out the zoo - theyâre pretty amazing. Those beautiful red pandas with their fluffy tails. Just adorable. And speaking of adorableness - that squirrel who ran right past me! They can be rather cheeky. That day was pure magic!
That evening I felt all giddy and full of tutu-love and I realised how much I adore London! The people are so lovely, the culture is just bursting and of course there is no shortage of delicious pink things! I might have had a delicious pink macaron after that performance, donât judge, darling! It felt totally perfect, the perfect end to a perfect day.
So, darlings, what are you waiting for? Go explore, wear a pink tutu, dance in the street, get involved in your community! Itâs not hard! Let's get all of you twirling! If there's a stage or street nearby, try a ballet class.
Till next time!
Lots of Love, Emma xx
