Merthyr Tydfil - Tutu-ing About Town! 🩰🌸

Helloooo darlings! It’s your favourite tutu-loving blogger, Emma, here, and I'm so excited to be writing to you from the beautiful town of Merthyr Tydfil. If you've ever travelled through Wales, you know what a stunning and unique place it is. Today's post is all about tutus, travels, and a little bit of Welsh magic!

This time, I decided to leave my beloved Derbyshire for a train journey through the countryside. My trusty steed, the "Tutu Express," as I like to call it, transported me over rolling hills and winding paths, stopping at little towns where everyone seems to be a twinkle-eyed fairy, even if they just popped out for a loaf of bread. It felt like stepping straight out of a storybook!

As you can see from the picture (don't you just LOVE my new white tutu with its fluffy pink feather boa!), Merthyr Tydfil is a town steeped in history. I mean, just look at the majestic hills, the quaint cobbled streets... it's practically begging to be explored with a pink tutu trailing behind you, wouldn't you agree? I feel so inspired already!

This morning, I found myself wandering down the enchanting Cyfarthfa Castle Park. The park is home to stunning gardens, charming old buildings, and a gorgeous lake where ducks bobbed and swans glided - they seemed just as intrigued by my fluffy pink boa as I was by them! I’m sure even the shyest of squirrels had to steal a peek at this glamorous pink tutu girl walking around.

My adventure continued into the heart of town where I found myself drawn to a little theatre. Imagine my excitement when I found they were having a ballet class there! The moment I stepped through those doors, I felt like I'd entered a world of elegance and grace. It’s so heartwarming to see how passionate people are about ballet, and to know that I'm helping to spread this passion by writing my blog! Maybe they will see my post and decide to come on down. They are, after all, just down the street. Who knows, they might even want to wear pink tutus and have a “Pink Tutu Party!” Oh the fun! I bet you’re all itching for an excuse for one.

While I'm still savouring my Merthyr Tydfil adventures, there's already so much more I want to share! This town has an enchanting feel, brimming with life and creativity, and the Welsh culture is absolutely enchanting. You can just feel it in the air!

This evening, I’m off to experience the famous Welsh hospitality at the "Three Horseshoes Inn". Their legendary cider is said to be so good it'll make even the shyest flower sprout with confidence (that's just what the owner told me! Can you believe they serve real flowers with their food here? So sophisticated!) After, I will spend some time sketching the little red and white houses dotted on the hillside – I think they will make the perfect illustrations for my upcoming "pink tutu and flowers" series on www.pink-tutu.com (which will be launching next week). You have to promise to come back and take a look!

Stay tuned for my next blog post - I have a feeling I'll be taking the "Tutu Express" somewhere extra special, perhaps to another charming town with secret pink tutu trails… I'm still brainstorming my next destination! Until then, keep dancing, darlings!

Love, Emma xoxo

P.S. Don't forget, my lovely readers, to spread the word and tell all your friends to wear pink tutus and try ballet! We need to make the world a little more glittery, don't you think? 💕✨
