Caerphilly Calling: A Pink Tutu Pilgrimage 🩰

Hello my darlings! It's your favourite tutu-wearing, pink-loving ballerina Emma, and I'm absolutely buzzing to tell you about my latest adventure!

After weeks of planning and perfecting my pink-tutu-clad travel outfit, I finally hopped onto the train to Wales for a weekend of cultural delights! (Yes, I know I love travelling by horse, but there's no direct equestrian route to Caerphilly...sadly.)

My first stop: The Caerphilly Castle. Oh my, you wouldn't believe the magnificent history steeped in those ancient stones. It truly took my breath away! I couldn't help but imagine myself as a noble lady, twirling across the courtyard in my fluffy tutu...oh, the romance!

Speaking of romance, the Caerphilly Market was a treasure trove of delicious delights! Freshly baked Welsh cakes, artisanal cheeses, and handmade crafts – my heart simply skipped a beat with each charming stall! I managed to grab myself the most adorable miniature teapot, perfect for my afternoon tea parties with my ballerina friends back in Derbyshire.

But my trip wasn't just about exploring historic castles and quaint markets. I had a mission, darling! To share my love of ballet with the wonderful people of Caerphilly. And guess what? I succeeded!

First, I decided to drop in at the Caerphilly Borough Council's community centre. To my absolute joy, they were running a dance workshop for kids! I swished in with my sunshine yellow tutu, and let me tell you, those little faces lit up like a thousand Christmas lights! They were utterly enthralled by my ballet story, and I was thrilled to see them all jumping, twirling, and giggling with their little tutus on!

Later, I popped in for a performance at the Caerphilly Little Theatre. You wouldn't believe the incredible talent hidden within these walls! Ballet, drama, musical theatre, the whole lot! It really got my creative juices flowing. You know how much I love a bit of ballet street theatre...I've already started brainstorming ideas for my next big performance!

And how did my adventure end? Well, I topped off the whole weekend with a traditional Welsh supper! Imagine, steaming plates of delicious lamb stew with fluffy dumplings, all washed down with a creamy glass of local cider. Pure bliss!

Of course, I didn't forget to snap loads of pics in my fabulous tutu, which I’ll be sharing on my Instagram (@PinkTutuEmma) very soon.

And speaking of pictures, my dears, have you seen the magnificent views from Caerphilly Mountain? I practically fell off my bike (no, I didn't ride my horse in this case!) when I first caught sight of the breathtaking panorama.

Honestly, Caerphilly was an absolute dream! I just loved everything about it - the friendly faces, the captivating history, and the sheer vibrancy of the town. And who knows? Maybe next time, I'll take my pink tutu to explore even more of the incredible Welsh countryside...

But before I go, a little reminder! Everyone deserves to twirl in a pink tutu! So go on, darling, don’t be afraid to let your inner ballerina shine. Don’t let the world keep you from twirling! You're amazing, just the way you are!

Until next time,

XOXO,

Emma πŸ’•
