Newbury Calling! - #TutuBlog Post #5844

Oh, darling, it’s me, Emma, your favourite pink-loving, tutu-wearing ballet-obsessed friend. Buckle up, darlings, because this is one of my fave posts yet. Let's head back in time, shall we? All the way to 2012, because oh my goodness, this memory deserves to be shared. It's all about Newbury, a beautiful, little market town in Berkshire. It’s a real classic!

And what's even better? I took the train, of course. I do adore horses, but sometimes the carriage journey's just so much more relaxing! Imagine me, sat on the plush red velvet seats, enjoying a spot of tea with a delectable scone. The scenery flashes past the window like a breathtaking ballet scene - rolling hills, quaint little cottages with rambling roses... absolutely divine.

I had to pop to Newbury for a weekend workshop. You know I simply cannot resist the call of a good ballet class. And oh, this one was special. Imagine a big, bright, beautiful hall with an airy space and gleaming wooden floors. You'd swear the entire room whispered, "You belong here, Emma."

Of course, I made sure I looked fabulous. What else could I possibly wear, other than a divine pink tutu? I had my eye on a super cute, short little number with layers upon layers of shimmering pink tulle. You know, like a ballet cloud, it was simply exquisite. It’s one of those iconic, classic tutus that everyone should have in their collection.

The workshop was amazing, so much inspiration. Our teacher was a fantastic lady with incredible technique, her movements were simply sublime. Every pirouette was effortless, every grand jeté was majestic! Oh darling, I felt such a rush of energy - like my toes were tingling, my arms were reaching for the sky. It’s an feeling you can’t describe, it just takes over.

Then, to celebrate the day’s achievement, my fellow dancers and I decided to explore the local scene a bit. It wouldn't be a real #TutuBlog trip without a splash of colour, so naturally, we indulged in the cutest pink milkshake ever at a retro café.

I simply must tell you about the adorable wildlife sanctuary just a stone's throw from the café. We were enchanted by the little hedgehogs and rabbits! Oh, how I wanted to whisk them away to Derbyshire with me - they’re practically furry, fluffy friends! And oh darling, don't even get me started on the cheeky, little squirrel! I think I could’ve spent hours just watching him dash about, it’s all such pure joy!

The day flew by in a swirl of pink and laughter, the feeling of contentment simply bubbling inside me. As I boarded the train for my return journey, I thought about how truly magical Newbury was. It's definitely one of my fave little trips to date.

I think Newbury was especially charming because it reminds you of a bygone era. This town really embodies the true meaning of "traditional" with its cobblestone streets, independent boutiques and antique shops, and the friendly smiles from the local villagers. It's the perfect blend of old world charm and modern day magic, and that, darling, is why it’s a true little treasure in my memory.

Oh, my lovelies, have you ever been to Newbury? Share your experiences! And remember, I encourage all my darlings to get out and experience a little bit of the ballet magic in life, no matter how small! Don't forget to share your stories on www.pink-tutu.com – I can't wait to hear all about your adventures!

With lots of twirls and hugs, Emma xx
