Kingswood Calling: Tutu Time in the Cotswolds!

Hello my lovely Pink Tutu Posse! πŸ©°πŸ’–

It's Emma here, signing in from the charming village of Kingswood, nestled amidst the rolling hills of the Cotswolds. Can you believe it? A whole week has passed since I last graced you with my adventures – can you tell I've been living my best life?! It’s all a bit of a blur… but fear not, because this delightful village deserves a full blown Pink Tutu post, and you deserve all the delightful details. πŸ˜‰

Let's rewind: last weekend, my dearest Auntie Mary surprised me with the most magical invitation - a trip to her gorgeous countryside cottage! Now, I don't have to tell you how much I adore escaping the city hustle and bustle, but when that escape comes with charming thatched roofs, babbling brooks, and a freshly baked Victoria sponge, it's simply divine!

The journey was a true treat, of course. After a scenic train ride – can we just talk about how delightful it is to have a comfy seat, a cuppa, and the ability to enjoy the view without traffic? – Auntie Mary and I set off for her cottage. I was positively giddy with excitement as the picturesque landscape rolled by, and you bet I wore my signature pink tutu with an adorable lace bolero! Pink just suits the Cotswolds, don't you think?

Auntie Mary's cottage is just about the most adorable little abode you can imagine – with rambling roses climbing the walls, and the kind of comfy interior that makes you instantly want to put on your coziest cardigan and sink into an armchair. She even had a real crackling fireplace, which immediately inspired a yearning for a delicious hot chocolate (with marshmallows, naturally!).

Of course, no trip to the Cotswolds is complete without exploring the surrounding area. And what a charming area it is! We went on the most magical afternoon stroll through fields of wildflowers and past centuries-old cottages with thatched roofs – perfect material for a fairytale photoshoot, I say! Just picture it: me, in my whimsical pink tutu, twirling amongst the wildflower blooms – absolute perfection. πŸŒΈπŸ’ƒ

But, as much as I love pretty landscapes, my love for wildlife runs deep. Auntie Mary's cottage has the sweetest little garden, and it seems every bird in the county decided it was their new playground. I even saw a gorgeous robin perched on the rose bush - just the inspiration I needed to write a poem, you know? (Let's be honest, I always have a poem brewing in my mind! ) πŸ¦πŸ’–

Auntie Mary’s been indulging me, naturally, with lots of local honey and cream – even baked me a stunning raspberry and elderflower cake! Now, you'd think with all the delights I'm enjoying, I wouldn't have time for anything else… but you know me – there's always room for some ballet!

We found the most beautiful studio just a short walk from the cottage, and let me tell you, there's nothing like taking class with the rolling Cotswolds as your backdrop. My pointe work felt lighter than ever! It turns out that their annual "Summer of Dance" is on soon - I'm so tempted to go and watch. Just imagine – tutus swirling under the Cotswold sky! I wouldn't miss it for the world! πŸ’«

Anyway, darling Pink Tutu Posse, this was just a sneak peek into my whimsical escape to the Cotswolds. I promise more fabulous tales – including all about the absolutely perfect tutu I found for the ballet performance – soon. But, until then, don’t forget to spread the pink tutu love. Keep twirling, stay happy, and remember – every day is an opportunity to be a bit more magical! πŸ’–

Much love,

Emma www.pink-tutu.com
