Now, you might be thinking "Cleethorpes? Really, Emma?" But hear me out! This quaint little seaside gem on the Lincolnshire coast holds a special place in my heart. And trust me, even the most ardent ballet fanatic can enjoy a good seaside jaunt. 😊
The journey there, however, was anything but mundane. I traded my usual ballet shoes for a pair of riding boots and hopped onto the most adorable vintage carriage drawn by a majestic chestnut stallion. 🐴 Imagine the stares! It was like a scene from a fairytale, all billowing skirts and sun-kissed hair. It truly set the tone for a whimsical adventure. ✨
The moment I stepped off the train (okay, technically I hopped down from the carriage - I was still embracing my fairytale vibes) and felt the salty air on my face, I knew this was going to be a fantastic day. Cleethorpes is charming in its simplicity - the smell of salt and seaweed, the colourful beach huts, and the infectious joy of families enjoying the day. I immediately felt that special sense of nostalgia that only a proper seaside holiday can evoke. 🌊
My first stop, of course, had to be the beach. My wide pink tulle tutu billowed beautifully in the wind as I danced along the golden sands. It was truly a vision! The other beachgoers seemed mesmerized, which just further fuelled my passion for spreading the joy of dance. A little girl even approached me with her own pink tutu, which I later found out she'd begged her mum to buy because she had seen my Instagram posts! 🥺 How utterly adorable!
Now, no trip to the seaside is complete without a delicious fish and chip lunch. And let me tell you, Cleethorpes has some incredible chippies! I tucked into the freshest cod and chips while overlooking the bustling harbour. It was pure bliss. 🐟
The afternoon was spent wandering the bustling streets of Cleethorpes, admiring the quaint shops and enjoying the sunshine. I couldn't resist indulging in a big scoop of pink candyfloss! A perfect sugary treat to complete my seaside day. 🍭
As the day drew to a close, I found myself seated on the pier, the sun slowly sinking into the horizon, painting the sky in glorious hues of pink and orange. 🌅 I felt incredibly content and at peace, my heart full of gratitude for the simple joys in life.
Cleethorpes was exactly what I needed: a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of London life, to reconnect with nature, and to spread my passion for ballet and all things pink. My time here truly filled my creative cup, inspiring me to create a whole new collection of ballet outfits! Expect to see some whimsical seaside inspired pieces in pink, with flowing tulles and playful accents!
And before I forget, my darling readers, please don't think for a moment that I haven't been practicing my ballet routines during my stay here. I snuck in a quick morning session in my hotel room, which provided the perfect opportunity for a breathtaking sunrise view while stretching my muscles. I even had a chance to observe the playful antics of some delightful seals that sunbathed on the nearby rocks, reminding me of the beautiful grace and agility of creatures large and small.
But as much as I enjoy my ballet practice, I have a confession to make. There is an irresistible urge brewing within me – a burning desire to introduce a little bit of ballet magic into the lives of these charming Cleethorpes residents.
