Kenton Calling! - Post #5873 🩰💖

Hey beautiful ballet babes! It's Emma here, back from a whirlwind weekend in Kenton, and oh my goodness, let me tell you - it was absolutely divine! As you all know, I adore discovering new places and soaking up all the culture they have to offer, and Kenton definitely didn't disappoint!

This time, I decided to leave the car at home and opted for a picturesque train journey, you know, a bit of old-fashioned charm. My window seat was the perfect place to watch the countryside whiz by, and I swear, every field was painted with shades of pink! It was like the universe was saying, "Emma, you're in the right place!"

Kenton itself was an absolute dream! Quaint cobbled streets, little shops bursting with artisan treasures, and a cafe culture that had me hopping from one latte to the next. I swear, it's all about the good vibes, you know? The air just felt…happy!

I'd heard whispers about a stunning Victorian theatre tucked away in the heart of town, so naturally, I had to check it out. And check it out I did! It was an absolute masterpiece! The intricate details, the plush red velvet seats, and the magnificent stage that just screamed “ballet, darling, ballet!” I can't wait to see what fabulous productions they host. Maybe I’ll even get lucky enough to catch a ballet performance in this very venue one day… fingers crossed!

Of course, no trip to Kenton is complete without exploring the stunning surrounding countryside! The moment I stepped into a lush green field with a rolling hillside, the sun kissing my cheeks and a gentle breeze whispering through the grass, my heart just went "Ahhhhh!" The air was alive with the chirping of birds and the gentle rustling of leaves, and it was a truly magical experience. You know me, I'm all for appreciating the simple pleasures.

The Black Leotard Story!

Now, you're probably wondering about the "Black Leotard" part in my post title, right? Well, this is where things get interesting. I knew I had to get a few ballet snaps while I was in Kenton. I’ve always loved a good backdrop - like those ancient ruins you find on the Italian countryside. Well, Kenton has its own kind of ruin magic, so of course I packed my little black leotard (which everyone knows is my ultimate ballet staple! Always makes a statement, you know?) for a photo session.

As I was snapping pics amongst the sprawling fields (I think I’ve perfected the 'ballet-posing-while-looking-natural-in-a-field' look!), I couldn't help but attract the attention of some playful locals. It started with a group of curious cows who decided my black leotard deserved a good sniff - you’d think I was a rare, new type of pink flower! Then a sweet little squirrel scampered up the nearby tree and peeked down at me - like it wanted to join in my photoshoot. Seriously, what are the chances, right?

Kenton, you’re one for the books, darling!

From the cobblestone streets to the charming cafe culture to the breathtaking countryside, Kenton had everything! My soul truly feels nourished by the magic I found in this gorgeous town. And don’t even get me started on the gorgeous little gift shop I discovered where I snagged myself the cutest pink tutu in the entire world (it literally SPARKLES, you guys)!

It’s already got me thinking of new and exciting ways to incorporate a little pink tutu magic into my wardrobe – whether it be an everyday ensemble, a quirky addition to a ballet class or maybe even just a special occasion statement!

If you're looking for an escape that nourishes the soul and fills your heart with joy, then head to Kenton! It truly has everything!

Remember my darlings: every day is an opportunity to embrace your inner ballerina, even if it's just with a tiny pink tutu! Keep dreaming, keep dancing and never be afraid to twirl.

Love, Emma x
