Spalding: Pink Tutu Travels in Lincolnshire! 🩰💕

Hey darlings! It's Emma here, from your favourite pink-tutu haven, www.pink-tutu.com. This is post number 5879, can you believe it? I’ve been sharing my passion for pink, tutus and ballet with you lovely lot every day for years now, and I still feel as giddy as a schoolgirl!

Today I'm bringing you some fabulously flamboyant vibes straight from Spalding in Lincolnshire, a quaint and picturesque town I discovered thanks to a recent horse ride – a fabulous adventure that I'll be telling you all about soon! But first, I have to show you this glorious green tutu I just had to pick up while I was here.

It's not my usual colour palette – pink, obvs! – but it caught my eye like a shiny sequin. It’s a bit emerald green, and I’ve been wearing it with a pretty floral blouse, a little cardigan, and of course, my trusty pair of pink ballet pumps. The whole look is absolutely sparkling.

But back to Spalding! This delightful town is just teeming with character, and it's absolutely chock-full of things to do. I’m just buzzing after a morning spent in the beautiful Ayscoughfee Hall museum and gardens. I must confess to getting a little teary in the grand drawing room when I thought about all the magnificent balls and dances that must have happened here in times gone by. The thought of swirling through those elegant rooms in a fabulous gown, just like the portraits on the walls, is utterly intoxicating!

I have a feeling I’ll be back for another horse-riding escapade and an evening of elegant waltzing through the garden, soon! The air felt magic amongst those graceful trees, so elegant and serene, and they were such a perfect setting to ponder what my next ballet class will be.

Speaking of ballet! Have you heard about this incredible new show I saw in Lincolnshire’s County Town, Lincoln, a few weeks back? It was a mind-blowing production, like nothing I'd ever seen before! I'm actually a bit starstruck still – I have to tell you all about it, it’s just so impressive. And, don't worry, there’ll be lots of fabulous pink in the photos to inspire you to grab your tutu and get your pink-tastic day going.

Now, don’t go thinking that Spalding and Lincolnshire are just about museums and ballets! This lovely place has something for everyone, even a nature enthusiast like me. Just after visiting the hall, I wandered over to Springfields Outlet, which was brimming with vibrant colours and tempting treats. While I didn’t buy anything for myself, it really cheered me up to watch the friendly gardeners taking such good care of the plants and the bees enjoying their lunch – oh, the honey is just gorgeous!

Of course, you know me – no day is complete without a ballet class. There was one near the hall – it really felt like destiny! The teacher, a lovely, kind woman with sparkling eyes, told me that it’s her dream to have every child and adult learning ballet, and she said she loves watching how happy the class makes her students feel.

It made me even happier and made me want to continue my daily dance classes even more! The class itself was filled with inspiring dancers who have the most gorgeous leaps and the best smiles – we’re such a wonderful community in the dance world! It just shows how even in small towns like Spalding, the ballet bug is thriving. And the pink tutus – those are really thriving, I can tell you!

And if you’re not yet a ballerina, just try imagining yourself on that stage. Feel those elegant steps! Embrace the joy of twirling! Feel that wonderful stretch that flows through your body as you pirouette and then land so softly – ballet’s really the most beautiful way to embrace life, isn’t it?

And speaking of elegance, I simply can't leave without sharing my journey here. You see, I decided to try something a bit different and made the trip from Derbyshire on horseback. The rolling Lincolnshire countryside felt incredibly serene – my pink horse, Blossom, and I just enjoyed the open space and each other’s company, it was truly magical. But a horse ride, no matter how much fun, does get tiring!

So I popped in for a cream tea at the lovely cafe called the "Spalding Rose." Honestly, if you visit, it's a must-visit – and not just for the charming Victorian building! The cake was absolutely divine, as fluffy as a ballerina's tulle. That pink floral wallpaper, the delicious food, it really added to the wonderful atmosphere!

It truly made me think about how many ways there are to experience life – ballet, horse-riding, yummy cake… what's next for Emma and the pink tutu?

This visit really reminded me that adventures and the pursuit of happiness can be found just about anywhere. It's all about embracing the magic and colour – and yes, wearing a fabulous tutu when the opportunity arises! So what are you waiting for? Grab your tutu, and let's all make the world a little pinker, one twirl at a time! And if you’re in Derbyshire, give me a wave, and maybe we can have a pink picnic together in the lovely Peak District!

Until next time,

Emma xoxo
